3-0 Villa win. Heskey getting all 3 and 'answering his critics'.

Whenever an especially pathetic feat is achieved in our house - like remembering to put the bin out, or finding some clean pyjamas, the triumphant person is said to have 'answered his critics...in the best way possible'. I believe that is the correct cliche.

I hope we start with Bannan.

We started with a central pair of Bannan and Hogg (sounds like a small town firm of solicitors) in this fixture last year, and we did very well.

I answered my fiercest critics in the best way possible less than an hour ago by not making a mess of the pancakes I made this evening. Naturally i'm delighted but am not getting too carried away and will take each day as it ....etc

In this league, this season, anyone can beat anyone.

Fuck 'em, we're Aston Villa.

An improved performance full of attacking intent which sees us play well and lose 1-2 to a late goal from Ashley Young...

Hope I'm wrong and we absolutely dick 'em!

It's a game we can win tomorrow, they're going through one of their rough patches that they do every season.

McCleish could win a few fans over with his team selection and tactics, but i can't see it, which is a shame.

unfortunately our manager has not worked out that the only way to compete in games with the top teams is to close down the space in midfield and put pressure on the ball, no we retreat to the penalty box and stand and watch them come on to us with Heskey lumbering around, I am going tomorrow and fear the worst.

Dour game; Maure score two late goals beyond the time everyone has stopped caring; Media wax lyrical about how Man U have 'returned to form'.

I get a bad feeling about this.

United win.  2-0.

unfortunately our manager has not worked out that the only way to compete in games with the top teams is to close down the space in midfield and put pressure on the ball

To do this you need relatively quick feet in midfield who can chase the ball and close down opposition players. We have Stan and Heskey in midfield.

He seriously cannot pick Heskey for this game or ever again.  Sackable offence.

if this happens I'll give us no chance.

If it doesn't and actually play for 3 points, we stand a chance.

Nothing worse than a gloating ManUre fan.
