They're not going too badly they've just had £500 off me for Chelsea away.

Manure won't sell out imo, particularly if we lose again on Sunday.

8 days to go and I still haven't got my ticket. Little motivation to pay 31 quid to watch us defend and then lose to them but suppose I'll relent over the weekend.

recently been making a note of the empty seats on the ground plan on the ticket site. how it's looking for united, working on the basis of a capacity of 42789. although presumably they've had their allocation cut again for persistent standing/jibbing and as such the capacity will be 500 lower.

It will be interesting to see what happens as the numbers on that site have proved to be a load of bollocks on at least three occasions that I have counted them.
Regarding the Mancs, the club know that their fans bunk their way in but seem powerless to do anything about it.

Even more discounting.......

Shocked at those prices for the games in the link. Fair weathers and glory supporters for the opposition usually bulk up sales for these games.

Just had two tickets for Swansea for 26 quid inc booking fees

Tbh Viagogo is the way to go for non season ticket holders. I've started using it recently and got some great deals. Arsenal tickets on there in the trinity were 20 quid, the matchday price up there is 40 quid.

Problem is people don't want to come to a half full stadium, resulting in the atmosphere being rubbish, meaning we are not as effective on the team, contributing to the rubbish football being dished up.

But if we were getting over 40k every week, more people would want to come because of the good atmosphere, hopefully inspiring the team to show more passion and play better football and achieving better results.

It's a vicious circle which we are on the wrong side of, unfortunately things wills only get worse with Randy's new ambition and with Alex Mcleish in charge.

How is this possible?

It's the same with Villa tops being a lot cheaper at sports world.

Why should the second bit be a surprise?

Large sports retailers are in a good position to get better deals with Nike on stock.

20,000

You know things are bad when Stoke City have more season ticket holders than Aston Villa.

Stoke and clubs like them often do have more season ticket holders than us. The major reason is ground capacity.

You mean they want the ground to be as full as possible for each game?

Stoke have had great success in the past ten years, so it is no surprise that they are attracting more supporters. They were also recently in the FA cup final and have European football on offer, I wish we could be boasting about that.

Stoke have around 24,000 seats available to their own supporters, we have 40,000. Therefore to make sure of getting in a Stoke fan would have to buy a season ticket.

Stoke averaged 16,823 in their last season in the Championship. They got promoted to the Premier League and they averaged 27,020.

Fair weather support.

Getcha.

I think our season tickets sold for this season is higher than 20,000. Pretty sure I saw some report at the end of the summer putting it at circa 23k.

I upgraded my two junior ST's for the Arsenal game and I was charged £19 for each. I feel cheated.
