We need to be more imposing offensively in this match, if not they will punish us with their creative qualities.

I think this match might prove a turning point in the season - only not in a good way. The Spurs match revealed AM's ineptitude as a tactician and motivator and also the failing of key squad members. It could be that we will be on the end of a real spanking here maybe 3-0 or 4-0. Not sure what reaction that will provoke - probably nothing except make our season even more miserable.

If we are unable to beat teams like Swansea, we deserve to go down.
Thats Liverpool relegated then, fantastic!

If we lose, then I'll be apathetic in defeat as it would sum up everything about my current feelings for the club.

That apathy is evident in virtually all AV fans, and allows the manager to spout the same script after every loss; 'The players have let me, themselves and the fans down, and they owe us a good performance next week etc etc etc'.

You say that as though we lose every week, rather than just the 3 defeats 2 of which were away at 1st and 3rd in the league.

An absolute barnstormer of a game.

Swansea 3 - Villa 5 (Bent 3, Agbonglahor, Heskey)

Swansea have only lost to Manure this season and are aggressive and forceful at home.
We are neither aggressive or forceful and unless there is an improvement of gargantuan proportions we're gonna get stuffed I'm afraid.

A draw at best.  Praying to God that Eck decides to play players in their natural position and even try something like a 'shot on target'.  Swans 1 Villa 0.

Swansea 1 ( Collins O.G.) Villa 2 (Gabby, Herd)
I'm going for a win more out of hope than anything else. I would like to think that those who played so half-heartily on Monday night will have had a long hard look at themselves and realized that they are cheating the club and supporters with such performances. As i said, more out of hope than anything else.

McLeish tells us the players are hurting after mondays performance, have worked hard in training, so same team as monday will start.
Ends with a 1 - 1 draw.
McLeish says his selection is vindicated, H and V in meltdown with another poor performance.
Things just wont change??

Am I Cynical? Yes, and very disillusioned

I can't think of any away games this season where we've played decent football tbh.

Any injury doubts for this one?
