Cuellar and Clarke should be playing. Other than that you cannot really argue with the selection. It says more about the state of our squad than McLeish's ability as manager.

so you think heskey offers more in midfield than ireland, bannan or jenas?

Generally, no, but Ireland's mad, Bannan might not be in the right state of mind to play, and Jenas is probably only 30-40 per cent fit.

And heskey couldnt trap a bag of cement!

You could perhaps argue that Delph should be playing in midfield rather than Heskey, but there is also questions about his fitness, and he has hardly set the world alight so far this season.

I  was hoping gary gardner might have emerged by now, but we do have better options than the current incumbent.

Who is supposed to be providing cover in front of Hutton? - 'cos they ain't doing it!

Nzogbia.

He doesn't like tracking back.

Petrov hasn't the mobility to cover in a 2 man midfield either.

Sadly, my pre-match prediction isn't as way off as I hoped it would be:

1-1

To our surprise, Norwich will dominate the match early on, but we will score on the break with Gabby.

Then we defend our lead vigourously with 10 men behind the ball. Norwich runs out of steam, we start to control the match and even vaguely look like scoring a second. But then we concede on a set-piece in the last 5 minutes. After that, headless end-to-end until the final whistle.

Could be worse, could be 2-0 down like Tamuff are at Kidderminster.

5 yards out, goals gaping, Darren Bent has it, and puts it straight at the keeper
What is going on Dazza B?
