If you look here, they are pretty much resigned to it.

Apparently Lambert wished "them" all the best for next season.

And we get Mick McCarthy.

In which case we'll pretend that we didn't want him at all, and yes, Mick McCarthy really is the man to lead us back to the promised land.

One thing I will say is he strikes me as the sort of bloke who'll put up with no fucking about, and run things the way he wants to, and that's what we need more than anything right now.

Exactly what we said about McLeish last year...

That and "WHAT THE FUCK?"

One major stumbling block with Lambert could be that his role model is his old manager Martin O'Neill.  Can't see him even thinking about the Villa job without consulting O'Neill first and we all know what O'Neill thinks of the heirarchy at Villa Park.

But we are in the promised land. In the part that floods with sewage occasionally.

A stumbling block that could easily be removed on the production of a massive contract.

I didn't know you could still find forums that looked like those. Someone really needs to let them know that it's not 1998 anymore.

Sounds like if he comes you need Culverhouse to come with him,

I like their style:

Quote
According to Lambert

Culverhouse does pretty much all the tactics.

Quote
If that's the case what does Lambert do?

Quote
What does God do?........ he gets his Angels to do all the work.

Quote
Spreads evil and creates famine.

So it says in the bible.

The way they discuss him, he sounds so much like MON markII that it scares me off him a little. Doesn't spend time with the players, keeps distance, Culverhouse does all the tactics etc..
