After what their fans have endured for decades now who can begrudge them this.

i just wish we had a rich arab instead of them.

You wish we were a symptom of everything that's wrong with the modern game and not them?

For Man City this is an awesome result. Its a real 'look at us' result, that will resonate worldwide.

I think Ash is out of his depth there.  I take no gratitude because I like him a lot, but he isn't in that league I don't think anyway.

Apart from being Man Utd's best player?

If he's out of his depth, then so are Rooney, Nani and the rest of the team from yesterday.

The biggest difference that sets Man City above everybody else is the physical strength of their players. With the exception of David Silva, they're all built like brick shit houses.

Agreed.  It's a bit harsh to blame a 6-1 defeat all on one player.

I think he's out of his depth - it's my opinion.  You have a different one.

Which is perfectly fine to hold that opinion, but people normally base opinions on things.

What grounds are there to say that Ashley Young (one of Man Utd's best three players this season) is out of his depth anymore than anyone else in the Man Utd team is?

I just happen to think he goes missing in really, really big games.  He started off like a house on fire for us, then faded before coming into his own again last season, partly to ensure he got his big move.  I like him, I am just trying to work out if he was a very big fish in our small pond, or the real deal.

The rise and fall of football clubs happens all the while.

It would be hilarious to see United cast down asunder their locals rivals pre-eminence.

The gulf if quality between the striking options and midfield options is huge. Its galling that City’s midfield is 2/3 of our previous, but I don’t care.

The result has exercised any ill feeling over City. I now don’t care if they buy the lot.

I’m not an anti-Man United person by any stretch. I don’t like any other club, but it would make me laugh to see all their gloryhunters wobbling, much in the same way as all the band-wagon jumpers with Leeds from way back when final got their just deserts for being gloryhunters.

I watch a lot more Ure matches this season to see how "our ashley" is getting on.I'm not convinced he is a top quality player, that he fails to pick a cross/pass out, and yday he did nothing to dispel that belief/He started well but after 20 mins was'nt in the game.

Have to say yday he was one of Ures better players though, far better than Rooney or Nani. Not quite up there with Silva though.

I couldn't believe the size of Micah Richards yesterday

I've seen smaller branches of Tesco Express.

With that haircut, Richards looks like the incredible hulk version of Balotelli, after someone has pissed him off.

Young started very brightly for utd, now he's playing like he ended up playing for us, good in patches, missing for bigger patches.  He wasn't at it yesterday but that could be said of most their team.  Rooney looks like their biggest worry to me.
