Start of Half Term and a Birmingham weekend with all the trimmings: my brother and I to the match, wife and sister-in-law going shopping in town, rendezvous back at sister-in-law's nan's house in Erdington before hopefully celebrating three points with a balti in Sparkbrook.

I expect a nervy, scrappy affair.  2-1 to us.  We'll go two up, concede with about 15 minutes to go and then endure a fraught finale.

Perfect. Can i come? Surrendered season ticket, planned to go to 3pm Saturday games, but will be wallpapering investment rental property, in hopes of corporate hostility suite to watch Villa in pan galactic league in 2025.

Always amuses me with how many of them claim that their late 70s/early 80s team was better than ours. They soon shut the fuck up when you ask what their team won. And make sure you always ask what Backpass Batson is up to these days.

As Alex Russon's brother put it, they want the best of both worlds. They want to be a nice, friendly little club then claim to be our equals when it suits.

After their confident predictions of world domination last week, and having to put up with a load of them on the train into the office this morning, an absolute tanking is the minimum that is acceptable.

I will go for 2-1 but if Gabby is on anything like Wigan form it will be four.

I just put Bent and Gabby in my fantasy league team. Hoping there will be a couple of Gabby assists to Bent! Alan Hutton was just on Soccer AM there a minute ago, seemed live from the training ground.

id say hodgson will revert to 5 in midfield for this one. Morrison or Dorrans to come in for Odemwingie. They will outnumber us in midfield but hopefully gabby can stretch them at the back. We really could do with Ireland coming back to form but I cant see it happening for him right now. 1-1, Villa to take the lead and be outplayed comprehensively for the remainder of the game with West Brom getting the equaliser midway through the second half.

With Jenas out and Nzogbia and Albrighton showing little we dont have many options. Id bring Clark in for Delph to give us a bit more presence in midfield. But McLeish is giving Delph every chance at the moment.

Given
Hutton, Collins, Dunne, Warnock
---------Petrov, Clark-----------
------Ireland----------Bannan---------
--------Gabby-----Bent
