I'd shun football in this country and go foreign - AC Milan.

I only love one club. But I must admit to a soft spot for Grimsby Town. In my previous life as a fully fledged tax payer I was based in Grimsby for many years and when I couldn't get to a Villa game and The Mariners were at home I'd go and watch them.
I enjoyed their glory days in the fourth division when they had a young upcoming manager called Lawrie McMennemy and a centre forward called Matt Tees.
Did you know that Grimsby Town have never played in Grimsby? Blundell Park is in Cleethorpes.

What a daft question.

I'd still support the Villa of course - the legend would live on, and Aston would become the new Gracelands.

We'd be the biggest non-existant team of all time. "Who the F**k are Third Lanark, Melchester Rovers and Barnstoneworth Utd?"

I'd quit football and never miss it. I don't even like football now, it's only because of Villa I pay attention.

Given Villa and McGregor represented the Big Bang of the football Universe it would obviously end if Villa ceased to exist.

As for other teams I, like Percy, have a soft spot for Celtic and Barca and would keep an eye for their results. The only other team I would attend regularly would be Fluminense assuming I'm back living in Rio. Their colours are a mixture of Villa's and Ireland's and the atmosphere at their big games is electric.

Longford Town!

Ah, a trip to Strokestown Road (not often I have a valid reason to mention my hometown on H&V).

...Stenhousemuir up in Scotland

My favourite Scottish club, i.e. I always look out for their results.

This for me, no interest in anyone else.

To play devils advocate, one might say:

"I'd feel pretty much as I do now.  We can't win anything of any real value without an Arab owner, Man City have made the game unplayable for the most part and our poor American "billionaire" owner has made it clear that we have no chance of ever getting close to competing.  What's the point now anyway?"

However, I'd just give up on football, as has been said before, football is difficult enough to watch now as it is so without the Villa it'd be pointless.

I'd give up footy, I 'hate' every other team anyway. I'd also leave the area and live somewhere else as well.Villa is the only thing that ties me to Brum these days.

Leyton Orient for me, as they're my 'local' team from where I was born.

Worcester City. I reckon I'm not the only one who has got keener and keener on non-league in recent years.

After 1874 Aston Villa, It'd be Worcester City for me, too, I reckon. I've been down St George's Lane quite a few times and my brother now goes there more than he goes to Villa Park anyway, while my other, much younger, brother plays for the youth team.

Failing that, I suppose it would be my adopted home town of Pisa, although it would depend a lot on which team my son ended up following I expect. I already look out quite a bit for Roma, as that's who the father-in-law follows.

Having said all that, I wouldn't follow any of them with any real passion. How do you follow the great footballing love of your life? Anything else would be a let-down. Better off staying single at that point.

I went to watch Ascot United on non-league day last year and I'd probably go more.  I might be encouraged to try and play football more as well though I'm not very good.
