Sophy Ridge? I certainly hope so. https://twitter.com/SophyRidgeSky/status/1790489308601688378

Loved a bit of Sophy on Sunday.

Sheff Wed apparently

That's a shame, just seemed a bit of a random tweet by a political journalist. Maybe her hubby's a Villan, or she wants an interview with Prince Will.

I think she's just generally a big football fan. I know she plays Fantasy Football with other "celebrities".

From the future King

Wills and George already know the tune. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EF7PpB-UU2o

It's been said Prince William broke actual royal protocols to message about Aston Villa last night!

This starts and ends with Terry "Geezer" Butler, erstwhile Sabbath bassist who is active in his support on SM and despite traveling the world all his life and living in the States for a great proportion of that still speaks with a proper Brummie accent.

He was an MP, we include other MPs who support Villa in this thread.

I know someone who interviewed Geezer Butler a good few years ago and apparently Butler spent the entire interview swinging in a hammock in his living room, which was crammed with Villa dvds and videos.

New embarrassing celebrity fan I've just become aware of, Dr David Cartland, high profile anti vaccination knobber.

Just finished Geezer’s new biography- worth a read.  This was the final paragraph of the epilogue

“I’ve got no regrets. How could I? I’ve spent my life doing what most people can only dream of. I was a kid with a mad ambition and made it happen. I was in a band that sold tens of millions of records, conquered the world and inspired others to do the same. I’ve stuck to my principles and respected the life of people and animals. I’ve got a wonderful wife, wonderful kids and wonderful grandchildren. I wish the Villa had won a few more trophies, but we can’t have it all. After what seems like forever, I feel like the luckiest man alive.”

I had an audio clip of him talking about Heavy Metal and how "your love for music is like your love for your football team, it stays with you forever". It's fantastic and I used it as part of a montage for the opening of a Rock Show I used to do on the radio.

I went to school with his brother.  Strange lot even then.

He must have served his sentence for tax evasion then.

He must have served his sentence for tax evasion then.

Given how cushy jails in Norway are, it's probably part of the sentence.

Yet oddly they have one of the lowest rates of recidivism in the world.
