I once worked on Benito Carbone's house in Sutton after he got angry and smashed some outside lights apparently because we'd accepted an offer and he didn't want to go. His fit Mrs made me a cup of tea with a biscuit so I think I might qualify as a minor celebrity

That claim is wafer-thin.

That claim is wafer-thin.

But it caused a stir.

When I was 10 I was interviewed on S4C before an Aberystwyth Town match and said Mark Delaney was my favourite Wales player.

I was once asked by Sky vox pop after a match who my Motm was. I was so panicked I said " Steve Lillis".

I was in LA once outside the Oscar’s theatre , the day before the Oscars. A tv jumped out of nowhere and asked what my favourite ever series of films were.
For sone reason I said “Indiana Jones” ( I like them , but they’re not my favourite). The interviewer asked me why, and my mate googling pipes up ( off camera) “ He like the whips “.
I ( four pints or so in) don’t know what to say , feel myself go bright red, so decide to just run off into the nearest shop.

( James Bond is my fave )

I told a local radio host after McLeish's first game away at Fulham (0-0) that we won't score many with Heskey up front. Nostradamus here.

The sports reporter from the local ITV news ambushed me on the North Stand car park, the morning after Darius Vassell missed his penalty against Portugal, to ask what it meant for his career. I gave some half soaked answer all the time working out what it meant for my career being broadcast from Villa Park when my boss thought I was working forty miles away!
