I think some people need to get a bit of perspective.
I havent seen the bit of the Aston Villla constitution where it says that you can only support The Villa if you are a fully paid up member of the Socialist Workers Party or the I have got a great big chip on my shoulder party.

true. i don't dislike Cameron because he's a Tory. hell there's been vaguely human ones now and then. I just think he's a retarded inbred knob and perhaps it will rub off on the general public and they'll think all villa fans are. Personally i'd think the same if Clegg or Millband were Villa fans

I don't think Cameron is a retarded inbred knob. I think like most people with his upbringing and education he's a supremely confident individual.

really? well i guess the image works for some people, To me he's like 99% of MP's. A total 3rd rater because  a) anyone intelligent wouldn't do it for the pay offered, b) anyone with morals wouldn't get past the party's selection process and c) anyone who wanted to do good would have a natural abhorrance of working and mixing with the people who infest our political system.

I don't like Cameron at all. But those pictures of him with his young son at the match are really quite touching and take me right back to when I took my son to his first game when he was 5. He's 25 now and still suffers the fate I thrust upon him at such a tender age!

When you are old and senile though. Who is likely to be making the decisions whether you get any state pension, any care home provision, or just someone to change your colostomy bag every couple of days ?
Guessing the education that will be bought for him and the connections established for him in his formative years, I'm going to put my money on young Arthur Cameron having a bigger say than your son.

Did anyone else find themselves thinking how refreshing it is to hear of a young boy called Arthur?

One thing the upper classes get right is their names (except Gideon, and even he had the good sense to stop using it). The lower classes could learn something from them, with all this "Tyler", "Brandon" and "Jordan" nonsense they indulge in.

True enough, the wife's a teacher and some of the names the kids have been saddled with are far more ridiculous than your examples. Although I suppose my name was a bit 'modern' back in the day.

You've got a point, but in a few years time, schools are going to be full of boys called Archie, Harvey and Stanley and the like, as the middle classes think that they're also so highly original.

You missed a name from your list by the way, and that is "Joshua".  Urgh.

As the Bard of Birkenhead put it so very well:

A woman who described herself as “A little bit Bridget, a little bit Ally, a little bit Sex And The City” and chose to call her baby boy Fred as a childishly rebellious attempt at a clever reaction to those who might have expected her to call him Julian or Rupert. Bit of advice: call him Rupert, it fits, and besides it’s a good name. Don’t be calling him Fred or Archie, with all its cheeky but lovable working class scamp connotations, unless you really do have plans for him to spend his life in William Hill’s waiting for them to weigh in at Newton Abbot.

Greg, can't be arsed with the quote thing but PM's salary is a fraction (and a small one at that) at what they then earn in other ways. If nothing else their post PM 'duties' guarantee pretty much a millionaire lifestyle.

Christ, you make us sound like we're a Doncaster or Crewe. We're Aston Villa FC, not some f#ckin no mark from the lower leagues. Get a grip.

Cameron's already a millionaire.
As you imply Nirog, he's just laying down the foundations now for the big bucks that will follow when he's not PM or Tory leader any longer. Bastard!

Quite; my wife's new class of Year 1's includes: Shanade, Shanice and Alivia - yes all spelt like that!!
