Considering the reaction to a decent game by Rooney on Friday, after tonight can we assume that he is absolutely fuckin' shit?

Someone pointed it out to me earlier this evening that we sold those 5 players for a combined £79million (okay £71million + a lunatic) with nearly half of that coming in the last close season.

Kind of makes a mockery of the club pleading poverty when failing to back McLeish significantly in the transfer window.

I was so depressed when Downing dribbled and crossed for that Young goal I had to switch the England game off.

Scraped a win against Wales. Useless Villa cast offs.

Just seen the England team line up on telly,
Ashley Young, Stewart downing, James Milner, Gareth Barry, Gary Cahill.
What could have been? What should have been. What a shame, we will never Know

As a matter of fact, yes, ex Villa players now playing else where all in England shirts, but lets not get carried away......no great shakes as we will see next summer.

PWS:

It really makes you wonder and Bale was never offside in a million years, Capello is utterly clueless

Yes to think with those villa players we d struggle to beat a small time national team like wales.
Over rated players like the epl itself.

It's kind of the same as Villa circa 2007-2010, this England struggle to break down committed sides at home!

Probably the hardest England game to watch thus far. Found myself cheering on Wales a bit. Downing and Young disappeared in the second half. I can't help myself from cursing off Downing, my friends think I'm mad.

Earnshaw, what a joke.

If you'd have placed a traffic cone where Earnshaw was standing it would have scored.

That's what happens for the overstating of the victory against a poor Bulgarian side.

I wish Gary Cahill all the best. We didn't play him and sold hi
. The other 4 can f*ck off as they wanted to leave us especially Downing who I hate most of all.

Ae the start of the game I did think what could have been had we kept them all, by the end of it I thought, good bit of business that.
