Just seen the England team line up on telly,
Ashley Young, Stewart downing, James Milner, Gareth Barry, Gary Cahill.
What could have been? What should have been. What a shame, we will never Know
-
Yeah most of them like more money
-
What never could have been, given the nature of the Premier Leauge.
-
We signed most of them from smaller clubs and paid them more money and gave them more success as players. They then left us for either bigger clubs and/or a lot more money and will win more trophies than if they'd stayed.
It sucks but it's been happening ever since the early days of football.
-
They all made it very clear they didnt want to play for Villa anymore so sell them and move on.............
-
yes , they look like the old Villa at the moment
-
I think West Ham fans have fair reason to be p=issed of the amount of their players that have come through their youth system and gone on to play for England, but leave West Ham, Ferdinand, Lampard, Johnson, Carrick, Defoe, J.Cole.
-
Where is Collins for Wales?
-
Here we go lets see how many references to the old Liverpool Manure combination we get. Tnucs.
-
1. Racing start to the season for Manure.
-
It felt like man utd scoring to me than England ... Im going right off england
-
The only England team I care about tonight has Ian Bell in it.
-
To be fair, Wales is about Downings level. Plus I was about to say I stuck my middle finger up at the TV to him when he missed that volley earlier.
-
Yeah most of them like more money
As if it was about more money for Young.

I said most didnt I
-
I'm actually finding myself rooting for Wales
-
My mate reckons football is fixed. As he explained, how else can you now explain Downings sudden ability to deliver Messi type runs from the edge of his own area to crash shots off the bar a la Liverplops game at home to Sunderland recently.
-
Wonder if Lee Hendrie will come on for Lampard second half .
-
hey Bannon is playing Im watching that
-
at least I have a Villa player to watch
-
Its as if ITV are deliberately trying to rub our noses in it. 5 ex players playing, Townsend in the commentary box and Horseface in the studio.
-
How shit are Scotland.
-
Bannon's doing alright .. got the pen for scotland and fletcher pen was saved
-
its a better game than englands .. probably because they are both comically shit
-
Saw that. What was that Lithuanian player doing a minute ago when they had 3 on 1.
-
I know , what an idiot . their most experience player too
-
sitter of the season so far
-
What a miss by Earnshaw.
-
That was incredible
-
Christ England are shit. If Wales weren't so shit we'd be in trouble. So looks like the same old England, flatter to deceive in qualifiers and then get shown up in the tournament for what we really are.
-
Considering the reaction to a decent game by Rooney on Friday, after tonight can we assume that he is absolutely fuckin' shit?
-
Rob Earnshaw was MOTM for England.
-
Someone pointed it out to me earlier this evening that we sold those 5 players for a combined £79million (okay £71million + a lunatic) with nearly half of that coming in the last close season.
Kind of makes a mockery of the club pleading poverty when failing to back McLeish significantly in the transfer window.
I was so depressed when Downing dribbled and crossed for that Young goal I had to switch the England game off.
-
Scraped a win against Wales. Useless Villa cast offs.

As a matter of fact, yes, ex Villa players now playing else where all in England shirts, but lets not get carried away......no great shakes as we will see next summer.

PWS:
It really makes you wonder and Bale was never offside in a million years, Capello is utterly clueless
-
Yes to think with those villa players we d struggle to beat a small time national team like wales.
Over rated players like the epl itself.
-

It's kind of the same as Villa circa 2007-2010, this England struggle to break down committed sides at home!
-
Probably the hardest England game to watch thus far. Found myself cheering on Wales a bit. Downing and Young disappeared in the second half. I can't help myself from cursing off Downing, my friends think I'm mad.
Earnshaw, what a joke.

If you'd have placed a traffic cone where Earnshaw was standing it would have scored.

thank fook I have the internet to browse about or another wasted 90 mins of my life ..
-
That's what happens for the overstating of the victory against a poor Bulgarian side.
-

I had the Scotland game on my laptop so I could watch Bazza's MOTM performance.
-
I wish Gary Cahill all the best. We didn't play him and sold hi
. The other 4 can f*ck off as they wanted to leave us especially Downing who I hate most of all.
-
Ae the start of the game I did think what could have been had we kept them all, by the end of it I thought, good bit of business that.
-
I tell you what, the Villa old stars did well to beat Wales. I thought Ian Taylor was meant to be playing???
EDIT: My fault, that was the other old stars team. The non money grabbing b@stards one.
-
The only England team I care about tonight has Ian Bell in it.
When he retires they should name one of the ends at Edgbaston after him.

:) :) :) I can see old boy Henry Blofeld "Now it's Broad limbering up from Bell end!!"
-
"Hit up in the air, Anderson's underneath it...out! He caught that right in front of the Bell End."
-
"The batsman's Holding, the bowlers Willie, in the shadow of the Bell end".
