I've not seen enough of Makoun to make a judgement to be fair.

I have

Depends entirely on what you want from him.  If you view him as a replacement for NRC then you'll be let down.  He is a good passer of the ball though and because he has the ability to knock it about without having to take six touches to control it, that opens up space for other people.

I'd agree, if you're after a 3yard square ball, Makouns your man
I think you need to rejoin your carer, mate.

It's not like we'll be needing midfielders who keep possession, so it's no surprise McLeish wants him out the door.

And it's not defeatism, vfl. We may well win, but it's the manner in which it'll be acheived that's getting people's backs up.

Tell a lie, its channel 5. It seems to be switching between Swedish and English! Good picture so far though

Blackburn's not playing Samba; a benefit for us.

2 seconds in, long boof to Heskey, out of play, their throw. I want to cry.

A pretty inauspicious start.

First misplaced pass of the day: Warnock, and it was a doozy.

Fordbeck: you're right - we clearly do not need midfielders in this set-up. Everything seems to be being played in the air.

Same.

I'm not going to another home game until either he's out the door or changes his approach. Thing is, I was relatively impressed by McLeish during preseason. This has come as a bit of a slap in the face.

I feel genuinely sorry for Bent btw. He had it pretty good last season...and now this.

Don't want to grumble so early but it's a pretty poor, overly direct start. Let's get the fucking ball down
