The noise was great last night. My old man said "is that the Marseille fans?".  Sounded very continental!

Must be the most noise made in the Trinity for years.

They support what were doing and although in our early stages we had troubles bring in flags etc. we don't now.

Course mate, where we are now section wise is poor hoping to maybe move next season, especially with numbers growing. Hoping to have one big display this season.

Do you talk / share ideas with similar groups at other clubs? I vaguely remember reading about a similar group at Newcastle, for example, and saw the impressive Palace stuff in this thread.

Here's an idea for you:  Could you approach the club and ask whether they could sell you a bunch of season tickets in one section of the ground for next season.  Obviously a large number of you would buy the STs anyway so the important bit is that you need to buy more tickets than your core membership from avfc.

You then set up a website where you sell the excess tickets at face value.  The profit (on the day cost minus ST cost) can fund the purchase of flags and other poles etc.

This would allow folk to join you on an ad hoc basis.  This would spread the love and hopefully mean you can buy more season tickets next year.  If Brigada 1874 was non-profit and transparent then I'd imagine that most folk would support it.

Maybe you could wangle it that the club would sell the season tickets in bulk and at a small discount on the basis/promise that you generally behave and build a dialogue with the club.

Yeah an official section is what a few groups have, a lot of them (like you've discussed) control the tickets to it as well, it is a great idea and an official section is something we may look towards in the not so far future.

In an ideal world you could conceivably get yourselves in a situation where you're getting a discount off the club for bulk buying and then receiving interest off season ticket holders for purchasing on credit.  I'm not condoning an argentinan Barras Bravas type situation but having a coordinated fan base - with songs, choreography and banners etc will inspire everyone including the team.
