Congrats to Spangly and TimVilla for getting it almost right.The new floodlights at Edgbaston are in the shape of a letter 'e' the old floodlights at Villa Park used to spell out AV at either end of the ground.

Not as good as ours though, it's not immediately apparent when you're in the ground that they're an 'e' whereas there was no mistaking the 'A' 'V'.
I used to love those floodlights, just the little glimpse through the tower blocks of Brum... one of the things that made Villa Park unique.
A big lasered 'AVFC' into the night sky would look good on a match day.
