I'll say 2-1 Fulham. Can see them flying out of the blocks as they're already half way through their season and I think we'll take a while to get going.

Sad to say but I'd take a point from there.

Nothing sad about wanting a point from Craven Cottage, they're bloody good at home.

I worry about the defence though. You know the season must be nearly underway when James Collins pulls up injured. He really is a liability with his ongoing injury woes. We really should have replaced him this summer.

I can see them being more prepared than us and winning 2 or 3 to 1.

I reckon the back 7 picks itself.

Then I'd play zog and bent if fit enough.

Less sure on the others. Would probably play heskey left and Ireland in the middle. Bannan to come on if we need more invention.

Sad to say but I'd take a point from there.

They finished above us last season and qualified for Europe. A point there would be a good one, especially as the're likely to be sharper than us from starting their season early.

Will this definitely be on? I know it's somewhat out of the trouble, but apparently there's a chance all London games could be called off.

All London Tuesday games have been. Decision on (Wednesday's) England game tomorrow. I would imagine we will know whether it's on by Friday.

If anyone's going by public transport and hasn't bought their tickets yet, I'd advise to wait till the day before doing so.

I think all London football matches will be off this weekend. They won't be able to commit the police resources.

It's not so much police numbers as tomorrow and Wednesday would see large numbers of people leaving grounds in the dark at peak riot time. Saturday afternoon will be a different scenario.

Not that football issues are the biggest priority by any means at such times.  But if this game was called off -for whatever reason- I wouldn't be particularly distraught.

Felt at the time it was Sods Law that we get a team buzzing and out to impress a new manager -and who are probably a few weeks ahead of us fitness wise- first up.

Would much rather play them in Oct/ Nov, when they've maybe lost a bit of momentum and the novelty has worn off.

Dave - any idea when a decision will be made?

This will all fizzle out by Wednesday as there is no political organisation behind it. So no worries the weekend football  will be OK and in any case DC is back on the case this morning!

Yep. And just like that, we're down to two fit centre-backs. Let's hope Clark stays injury-free for the Republic this week. It's starting already!

I'm not so sure its not politically motivated. There's obviously a fierce hatred among today's youth towards JJB Sports among others and the failure of sucessive governments to control the widespread institutionalised racisim in carpet shops obviously was the trigger in tottenham.

Probably.....
