The Alexandra and The Brunswick are the places to go, nice pubs & great beers.

Both 1-2 mins from the station and a gentle 10 mins stroll to the ground.

The Navigation, Crown & Cushion and Florence Nightingale are all Grade A shit-holes.

Me and a few others are going.  We're either stopping on route in Burton or going straight to Derby, not sure yet. Looking forward to it though, i wonder if Petrov will try another one from the half way line.

I'm going from Burton, if your stopping in Burton for a few I recommend the Devonshire Arms, 2 mins walk from the station. Turn right on your way out, down the hill, pass the Roebuck Pub (not great) . The Devonshire is a great  Pub owned by Burton Brewery, so some great Ales if your in to that, lots of other choices too.

Just been offered a place in a box for tonight. Free food and drink and a lift there and back, tough choice.

no it's not. Take the box, the free food and drink and ride to and from. It's not tough at all.

Thanks for that, i'll bear it in mind if we jump off at Burton. No, i'm not keen on Great Ales, they're not great at all. The few that i've tried all tasted like warm fart.

Ha Ha, nor am I to be fair. May have to be a few Desperado's or a nice Belgian Duvel!

Not entirely relevant to this thread, especially when we're discussing pubs but Terry mentioned this in a recent interview, when he was discussing Villas Boas:

I've been speaking to a couple of the other lads at Villa and Blackburn. They're on double sessions and they're busting their guts basically every day. Whereas I think football has moved on a bit from a few years back, and he certainly understands that, and listens, and takes on board what we say."

Certainly explains why we were looking so knackered v Chelsea but also it'll be interesting to see which method is correct.

Chelsea are an ageing side, and clearly have taken the early upper hand on the boss.
