Quorn Vs Northampton Spencer

WTF!

Wonder if Quorn players are allowed to do meaty tackles?

I think I've narrowed it down to one of these teams:-

Castle Vale
Heath Hayes
Stourport Swifts
Tividale
Alvechurch
Wolverhampton Casuals
Nuneaton Griff
Cradley Town
Continental Star
Romulus
Tipton Town
Boldmere St. Michaels
Bartley Green

I think I've narrowed it down to one of these teams:-

Castle Vale  - Ye Gods, have you been there?
Heath Hayes - Nice ground, not easy to get to though.
Stourport Swifts - See above
Tividale - Lack of decent pubs unless we meet in Dudley or Carter's Green
Alvechurch - Middle of nowhere
Wolverhampton Casuals - See above
Nuneaton Griff - It's in Nuneaton!
Cradley Town - Difficult to get to
Continental Star - I don't even know where they are playing this season, the ultimate nomads!
Romulus - If it's a cup tie they won't be at home because of the plastic pitch
Tipton Town - horrible athletics stadium, no pubs
Boldmere St. Michaels - Could meet in Sutton but fairly decent pub free round there.
Bartley Green - Middle of nowhere

We may have to look outside of the FA Cup!

I think (Wiki) Continental Star are playing in Rushall.

The other grounds seemed like miles away, Staffordshire and the like.

How far is Boldmere St. Michaels from Sutton Coldfield town centre then?

Not really walkable, but get a train to Wylde Green station and it's about ten minutes from there. Got a decent clubhouse at Boldmere as well, plus you can watch the action on the bowling green next door if the game is crap.
Boldmere play Stourbridge tomorrow, might pop along if I am feeling better.

went to halesowen wednesday to see them play hednesford town, they won 3-2, got a really good squad this season.it was my first ever non league game and i was suprised by the standard of football, non of the hoofball stuff, some really good passing.not saying halesowen play like barcelona, but i think barcelona are having an effect on all football teams around the world because we watch them so much and they've  shown that it's cool to pass the ball to keep posession and not to rush to get the ball forward.slowly and pleasing on the eye.oh and Bartley green have got halesowen tomorrow in a friendly.

Arr. Through the eye of a needle and all that!

Yes, Wylde Green and Boldmere are posh but we can drag them down to our level.

Quite fancy a cup game. An advantage of this is that the clubs share gate receipts and so both can benefit from 'Non League Day'.

If they get through, what about Straftford Town? Stratford's got some good pubs and pretty easy on the train.

Good call, nice new ground. It's in Tiddington which is a bit outside Stratford town but I believe there are regular buses. Shame they moved recently, their old ground was next door to the railway station.

If you get off at Chester Road, there's a Marston's pub just around the corner, the Boldmere Oak, just on the corner of Boldmere Road and Sheffield Road.
