He might not be a very good manager but he's our not very good manager!

I'm also looking forward to the new season with McLeish in charge like Slaphead has said can't wait for the new season to start.

Wait til the first string of defeats comes then you'll see the real turnaround.

Obviously there has been a turnaround.
It's the Marlon Harewood syndrome.

Not so much a turnaround, just acceptance that he's here, nothings gonna change that in the short term, and kicking off about it constantly is counter productive.   We all want a successful Villa, and if McLeish can provide it then brilliant - Lets give him the chance to prove our misgivings were unfounded.

The turnaround happened the minute he was appointed.

He went from being the manager that none of us wanted to our manager, whom we must get behind.

For me he starts with a clean slate. He's done nothing since appointed to put him in the plus or negative, except saying that he is going to give all the players a clean slate, gets a thumbs up from me. We have to wait and see who he signs this summer and then see how he gets the team playing. Signing Given would be a nice start.

There has been no turnaround with my attitude towards the board. The whole amateurish process of appointing the manager was embarrassing. They must hold out for a king ransom on Downing and give Eck proper funds before there will be a turnaround in attitudes towards them.

Now he's here, there's nothing to be gained by carrying on moaning about it.  I hope he does well, but don't think he will.

He hasn't done anything yet, i think it is premature to suggest there is a "turnaround".
I haven't seen or heard anything yet, to get me excited about the season starting, some people are very easily placated, if just "talking" about N'Zogbia gets them excited.
If anything it is the opposite for me, i have a stomach turning feeling about this season, i worry that this will all go tits up, and the club will fall apart, with fans at each others throats, and the board and chairman given a tough time. The players will respond accordingly, and our Bright Future dream will be well and truly over.
I can only be optimistic that it probably won't be that bad, but i don't believe it will be that good either.

It's like moving through the stages of grief.

I've got over the denial.
I've got over the anger.
But I'm stuck in the despair phase.

A £20million central midfielder might get me as far as hope.
