I want my shares back!

Rewind to August 2006 and I was more than happy like many others to sell my shares to RAL. Now 5 years later I wish Mr Lerner would re-issue the shares for sale. I don't like the sole owner situation although that was virtually the case under Deadly Doug. Surely this could raise additional funds for the club? It would be interesting to see the share value now compared to 2006 when they were around £3.50 each. Lerner bought the club for a bargain £64M which would have more than doubled by now. There's something about owning a part of the club that I miss even though it's only a tiny piece of the club. Do you agree?

I certainly enjoyed the AGM. I miss that. Particularly the overly detailed finance questions, Deadly's annual refusal to answer any questions to do with transfers and my old man's persistent questions about the old Trinity façade.

Do not mention shares to me wanted one for a long time. I got one through of all things a mail order catalogue at £18 and was very happy telling my friends Villa is mine be it a single share.  Only got to take part in one vote but never had the option to go to an AGM.  Then six months later if that randy comes and I have to sell my only share to him for £3,50. I know we got the share back but it is not the same it is not my club anymore.  But will always support Villa and yes I would boy shares if they where made available.

I remember watching Dave W skip out of the Holte Suite after we managed to vote to keep Doug off the board for a few days!

It was great being able to challenge them on issues directly, I asked Doug if the board was going to give him another suprise by naming the new Trinity Road stand after him!

The point about the sole owner stance, sole owner is fine providing the sole owner recognizes the scrutiny he or she will come under, as for Randy Lerner, I'm still in shock at the appointment of Alex McLiesh and I know a huge amount of Villa fans although temporarily muted for the time being feel the same way, still asking "why Alex McLiesh"?, this will be answered within the first opening shots of the season.

For me Randy Lerner being the heads up at Villa can answer a lot of questions, he can do that by going the extra mile, the acquisition of 2 to 3 big players now would go a long way and show that this appointment wasn't desperation, we start buying in cross city also rans and dead beats from elsewhere and i feel Randy will know what the expression " the buck stops here" will truly mean.

As for shares, take it or leave it for me.
