The point about the sole owner stance, sole owner is fine providing the sole owner recognizes the scrutiny he or she will come under, as for Randy Lerner, I'm still in shock at the appointment of Alex McLiesh and I know a huge amount of Villa fans although temporarily muted for the time being feel the same way, still asking "why Alex McLiesh"?, this will be answered within the first opening shots of the season.
For me Randy Lerner being the heads up at Villa can answer a lot of questions, he can do that by going the extra mile, the acquisition of 2 to 3 big players now would go a long way and show that this appointment wasn't desperation, we start buying in cross city also rans and dead beats from elsewhere and i feel Randy will know what the expression " the buck stops here" will truly mean.
