The wife has gone and I can hear the concert out of the window, the good thing is I can tell when I'll have to turn the porn off.

Take That fans at both nights bitching about congestion. Would love to sympathise, but the lion always outwits the dumb sheep.

Did any one on here attend the Bruce Springsteen concert in 1988 at VP?

I did.

That is at least two of us. Fantastic 4 hours from Brucie with only a 15 mins break in between.

and me, that makes 3 of us...........

make that 4........

I was there too. It reached the levels of 'ok' for me, felt very formulaic.

I didn't attend the Bruce Springsteen concert. I actually stood outside encouraging people not to go in. So I cancel all you lot out.

As much as it was hard work it has not only made millions for the club but also raised its profile

Surely not millions ? Do the club just hire out the facilities to the concert promoters for a fixed rate or do they organise the tickets sales and payment of the group etc too ? By my calculations if its 2 nights totalling 90,000 plus, the club would be having to clear £11 per head for each million made.
I know for a fact that the club made more from these two concerts than they did from our European campaign the year we were knocked out by Moscow.

On that basis then I bet we've earnt more out of these two concerts than all of our European campaigns under MON added together.

Finishing 6th was clearly overrated - let's just get early-90s boybands in every summer instead!

Bren, i hope your right and we have a much better season than last and our new manager makes people like me who dont want him eat  our words.
Commercial business make a profit out of commerical enterprise on one of 330 days when said commercial business not using facility for main purpose.

Fucks sake if villa park gets used 5 or 6 times for events like this a year it wil have no impact on footy team and add millions to coffers

I also know that the groundsman is fuming about the pitch because the pitch dips in the middle due to the weight of the cranes.

As long as they put the full team out and don't stick in a tribute Robbie Williams.

Are you sure it's not from Ivanhoe running up and down it?!

I just noticed this from someone on Twitter. Made me laugh.

I've heard Alex McLeish is at Villa Park tonight, he can't afford Robbie & Gary, but likes the look of the 3 useless wankers at the back.

I just found out that the Pet Shop Boys were supporting Take That.

Did someone have the lineup upside down?
