How do you feel about Alex McLeish being the next manager?

Who voted yes?

I can understand the idea of being loyal and backing whoever the manager is, but actually thinking it is a good idea is another matter surely?

- Inspires high work rate and determination
- Managed on a budget
- Won a promotion
- Won a trophy
- Turned shit players such as Gardner and Ridgewell into decent players.

It's still a resounding "no" from me, but I can at least see why people would want him.

I didn't see much determination when they were in a relegation battle. He managed to get them relegated twice on said budget. Gardner and Ridgewell were no different at Villa, they just look better now because they are surrounded by shite players.

You cannot seriously argue that Gardner is not doing better at Blues? 9 goals in a season and undoubtedly one of the few rays of hope they had at staying up.

Gardners always been decent he hasn't improved, hes just been given playing time in a crap team.

Ridgewell is the same player he was at the Villa. 100% effort splattered with a few cock ups every game.

Both are not good enough to return unless we crave mid table mediocrity.

Mcleish has no record which would place him anywhere near our top 10 targets.

McLeish now 8/13 on for the job. Interestingly, David Moyes has just overtaken Mark Hughes (7/2 and 4/1 respectively) as second favourite.

He took a shit team into top 10 in premership and won a cup .

Also he achieved a lot at Rangers and managed an international team

I'm refraining from using abhorrent language but this is a worse day than when we appointed Houllier and then some.
