McLeish must really have a passion and desire to manage us and succeed, as I believe 99% of managers would not even consider managing their closest rival.

I can think of about two million reasons per year why he'd be perfectly happy to consider managing his former team's local rival - regardless of how passionate he is about it.

I can say that as he is not yet the manager of AVFC. Obviously, things will be different in 10 minutes or so.

Time to get on with it and stop feeling sorry for ourselves. We support Aston Villa, not Randy Lerner, not Alex McLeish. We were here before them and will be after.
