5-1 I enjoyed that. Might remind you of that McLeish.

He won't need reminding - thats why he's coming to Villa! - he's always talked us up as being bigger and better than our neighbours - he has quality to work with now and a supportive board.Just think how much we can gloat when we end up in the top six and win the FA Cup next season.

Can anyone else hear the sound of those funeral bells ringing?

 :(

You must be really fun to live with. Enjoy life and football. Be optimistic for a change. He might suprise you.

McLeish must really have a passion and desire to manage us and succeed, as I believe 99% of managers would not even consider managing their closest rival.

I can think of about two million reasons per year why he'd be perfectly happy to consider managing his former team's local rival - regardless of how passionate he is about it.

Christ, I'd happily manage the Blues for a hundred grand a year.

My glass is normally half full, but today its just about to fall off the table and shatter into a thousand tiny pieces.

Just thinking about that. Deep down, I'll still think he's a Blose cnut!

I can say that as he is not yet the manager of AVFC. Obviously, things will be different in 10 minutes or so. ;)

I am sure he could have waited it out for the next job to come along. And a premier league team would have given him the chance after winning the league cup.

He has a passion to manage us.

Was very impressed by mclarens press conference at forest and the way he spoke about his plans for their future, academy etc - in fact I think had he been interviewed then he probably would have got the job, he seems to have learnt a lot since the England era, and I think I judged him harshly as many others may have done.

Blimey - I wouldn't fancy being in the trenches with some of you lot!!

Time to get on with it and stop feeling sorry for ourselves. We support Aston Villa, not Randy Lerner, not Alex McLeish. We were here before them and will be after. Who knows we might actually be a decent team next season, playing attacking football and winning games. Isn't that the name of the game?

Too late - we're stuck with this clown now

He has a passion for a 3 year, 2 million pound a year deal that will last barely 6 months at which point he will leave with a whacking great payout.

Whats not to like?
