Pat Murphy on 5 Live says contract will be signed and official statement made in the next couple of hours.

Madness.
Probably the best word to sum it up.

Randy and the Board have lost the plot, and/or lowered expectations to a degree that we didn't think possible.

Who would have forecast this shit when they took over and everybody was mooning over buiding a platform to get us into the Champions League.

The General was in the Bartons after the 5-1 drubbing of McLeish's Blues, he must have a very short memory, because I don't understand how he could think anything of a Manager who could produce a team like we saw that day.

I'd prefer it if he was off to get his P45.
The bloke is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

I have never felt so low as a Villa fan since we went down.

No, we don't, but there's quite a lot of intermediate cloth to be cut between spending like Leeds United and appointing a manger of the level of AM.

Cutting his cloth is understandable, but we've gone from Armani suits to beige polyester from George at Asda.

It would have been possible to cut back on the wage bill without hiring an inept Manager.

You know it's bad when you walk into the pub and a Walsall fan starts taking the piss. :(

I could blame the £10m + they've shelled out to Houllier and O'Neill in compensation.

Just on his backroom staff, will we have to sort out compensation for them too?
