There is no way in a million years that they are going to allow Downing to leave now.

A month ago, you'd have said there is no way they would fight to get Alex McLeish in as Manager.

Exactly - after this week I will stop predicting what the board may or may not do as they are clearly capable of doing anything.

Randy is a fucking coward if he's flown home & the press conferernce takes place without him.

If thats whats happened what a gutless phuk, you make your decisions in this life and then face the music, on the other hand there are a couple of other things it could be, 1 its all over and he's made the decision another season of pain isn't for us, or he's going to let Hier flick do his deeds in which case you can expect anything from desert storm to a 1st strike Nuclear missle.

Quite annoying. McClaren seems to have learnt a lot from his time in Europe. Randy shoulda atleast spoke to him.

I know, that Euro accent is weird isn't it.

So the great prophecies got it sort of right, OK maybe not the 21st of May, the 16th June 2011 is as near as dammit.

Sick bags at the ready and hide the kids behind the sofa, your about to witness something holding up a Villa shirt and sitting infront of the club colours that may seriously damage your health, stunt your kids growth, and put the misses of sex for a generation.

This is it, men from the boys, sharp intake, if this is how i think it will be, never thought i'd see the day, not just a piss poor manager but a throw over from the sty.

Problem is, there's no real alternative out there, at least with Premier League experience.
That just isn't true. Hughes is the obvious alternative.

Chelsea bound Hughes?

He's a free agent at this stage, as far as I can tell, having released himself (compensation free) under the terms of his contract.

Obviously, one could argue that AM is the better manager.

for whatever reason the one thing mystery man was adamant about was hell would freeze over before they look at hughes.

no idea why as he would have been my choice .
