Be a turn up for the books if Lerner lands in Barbados

Villa say Mcleish done by tomorrow lunch at latest, so come on you faithful get on board. It's still you're club you just don't own it.

It's happenening and we have to deal with it.  I, for one, will give him a clean slate and won't judge him on his history.

I'm not happy with it but I wish Mr McLeish all the best and if he has our best interests at heart then hopefully all will be well.

Couple of things:

I am hearing on the grapevine that Liverpoool have matched our valuation of Downing so I expect that will happne shortly.

To be quite honest, appointing McLeish and then selling Downing shortly after would mean we really have given up even worrying about looking like we're pretending to try.

People seem to forget that this is a football club.  Not a company.  Randy may be a businessman but his business in this regards is football.  We are the not only the consumers but the fans and the people that keep this club going.  If we were get relegated to the conference many will still be there supporting the club, I do not think Randy would be.  Just because he owns it, doesn't mean he is qualified to make the decision on who to appoint manager.

This appointment not only smacks of incompetency, it smacks of betrayal.  That's not me being melodramatic, that's the cold hard truth.  When an owner, who claims to love the club and have the interests of the fans at heart, so obviously smacks those fans in the face and sticks two fingers up at them, is a sad day for Aston Villa Football Club.

Let's be honest, the fact that he is from our rivals is a minor nuisance.  What is more important and pertinent is the incompetency, betrayal, foolishness, naivety, disregard and stupidity that has surrounded the appointment of a new manager for our great club.

Smithy, what's happened to the site? Those adds are a bit of a pain.

Funny stuff though

Maybe AM is holding off until he sees the fixture list tomorrow.
If the first four games are Man U, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal. He just wont bother.
Heres hoping.

And we thought the replacement of the North Stand screen was a terrible downsizing, with no vision.

Well last season we got 9 points  from these 8 games so not too bad against so called top teams.

I think the press conference to unveil him will be must see, and from AM's point of view absolutely crucial.

I've a feeling he'll say the right things, show his desire for the job, and straight away win over SOME of the fans.

Let's hope so.
