Sixways to leave your Lerner - has a musical twang to it?

Petrov will be on his way. Make a new plan, Stan.

As soon as the McLeish announcement is official I will be ripping up my season ticket form. There is no way on Earth I will pay good money to watch the sort of dirge he is going to bring to Aston Villa Football Club and, I'm afraid, the only way to register any sort of disapproval is by not going and hit them where it hurts - in the pocket.

For God's sake Randy THINK what you're doing to the club that we all love.
Strange how people on here took the piss out of all the empty seats at The Sty every week when their fans stayed away, yet it appears our fans are really just the same as theirs.

They've ALWAYS stayed away. You pays yer money you make yer choice. Sorry, but I'm not paying to watch insipid, uninspiring, negative football. If he comes and we suddenly become a free-scoring, majestic, total football playing sex machine, I'll renew. By then I'll be on OAP rates anyway.

Right, if we do appoint mcleish, much as I think it's a bad move, we have to give him a fair chance. I hope the holte is prepared to do that or it'll definitely be another miserable season for sure

He will be appointed by the looks of it and the fans now have to get behind him and hope there is some smart action in the transfer market carrying some momentum into the new season. For what its worth, I think McLeish is a top bloke and no fool. But I have little confidence in his record in this division.
But the relationship between this board and the fans is gone now. Perhaps beyond repair. The General wont be back after the abuse he's had and I wouldnt blame him and so we'll have no connection at all.

A really sorry state of affairs.

Sky breaking news Alex mcleish to be new Aston villa manager.
Jim White by phone saying mcleish and Lerner very happy and mcleish aware of protest but very much looking forward to the challenge .

Solicitors meeting in the morning so should be sealed then.

"Villa til I can't be bothered anymore,
I'm Villa til I can't be bothered anymore,
I know I am, I'm sure I am,
I'm Villa til I can't be bothered anymore."

Doesn't have the same ring to it.

You know, it may not be that hard.  Bad appointment for his record and the football his teams have played but if I were him I would be desperate for the Villa job too, which he knows is a big step up.  He is not wrong to want the job and I believe he appreciates our stature.  Wrong appointment but he is not self-appointed.

Booing him for the board's mistake helps no-one and very soon you might as well just get behind the team (which I see as players, manager and coach staff)

Common denominator there - Alex McLeish
