I thought Americans were supposed to be good at p.r.

I can't recall a blunder along these lines since Gerald Ratner said everything in his shops was a load of old crap (or something along those lines).

I don't know who we'll end up with or who would want to come now, but it seems to me now thẹ only way out of this will be to promise whoever ends up in charge with an open cheque book and a fantastic contract.

Interesting times ahead

Everything is going swimmingly, he'll be on the steps of the Holte End holding a scarf and still have time to get to Greg's for a Breakfast bacon bap.

I am hoping that McLeishs interview goes badly wrong.

Remember the John Cleese film "Clockwise"?   I would love everything possible to go wrong for McLeish, he gets up late, power cut at home so can't get ready, tries to start his car but it stalls so has to get the AA out (and then has to spend half an hour trying to get them out after speaking to a call centre in India), then has a prang on the way there so that's another half hour gone, then ends up speeding to get there and is pulled over by West Midlands Polices finest (another half hour), turns up at the wrong venue for the interview, then when he gets in he is totally unprepared - he's walked into an interview for the position of the head of a cleaning company rather than that of a football manager - and is flummoxed when he is asked to demonstrate the latest "Dyson".

...and in the meantime Randy Lerner announces Rijkaard as the new boss at a press conference... :D :D

This is the same Pat Murphy who believed the McLeish talks broke down being posted Twitter only 30 minutes ago.

We're talking a manager here, not Legion.

As soon as the McLeish announcement is official I will be ripping up my season ticket form. There is no way on Earth I will pay good money to watch the sort of dirge he is going to bring to Aston Villa Football Club and, I'm afraid, the only way to register any sort of disapproval is by not going and hit them where it hurts - in the pocket.

For God's sake Randy THINK what you're doing to the club that we all love.

Strange how people on here took the piss out of all the empty seats at The Sty every week when their fans stayed away, yet it appears our fans are really just the same as theirs.
