So what will McLeish's preferred formation be when we play Blackburn at home, 6-4-0 or 4-6-0?
9-0-1 after he's signed Cameron Jerome.

That's not even funny.

I cannot believe after getting stung by O'Neill and Houllier that the board will not put emphatic break clauses in this time.

All he has to do is sign Walker, Foster, Dann, Enrique, Parker, Sturridge and N'Zogbia and I'll give him a chance. Piece of piss.
I'm past caring now.

The last time we appointed a scottish manager whose surname started with Mc and came from the blus half of a heated city rivalry it went brilliantly didn't it

Billy McNeill? I think, I think.....he played for Celtic.

I'd actually have complete admiration for him if he took the job. He must have some Buster Gonad-sized stones.
But that doesnt change the fact he'd get very small leeway before he got dog's abuse.

he's a genius - he'll sign a £15m 5 year deal, get sacked one year into it because of fan-abuse and he'll pocket the rest.

Conversely, have much have we weighed out in the last few weeks in compensation?  O'Neill, Houllier and now Blues if McLeish comes.  Lerner should just have a bonfire on the north stand car park and tip barrowloads of £50 notes onto it.

It seems to me that he has a good case for constructive dismissal so I'm not convinced that we'lll have to pay compensation.

From the Daily Heil:

Quote
'Alex decided he had to resign as there had been serious issues for some time between him and the board at Birmingham,' revealed Bevan.
'It is very disappointing that some clubs don't follow normal principles of employment law. Mr Pannu has put into the public domain confidential information contained in Alex's contract. This is a breach of confidence.

'It is disappointing Alex appears to have been criticised for sending his formal resignation letter by email, particularly given that one of the issues Alex resigned over was Mr Pannu's sacking of Alex's chief scout, who learned he was to be dismissed when he was copied in on an email from Mr Pannu to a club official.
'There were other issues, including not being properly consulted on player transfers, and making a number of aggressive and seriously undermining communications, which ultimately made his position untenable.'

Another worry is that if they don't take McLeish, who would be next on the list?

Ian Holloway?
Phil Brown?
Micky Adams?

Don't bet against it now that we're watching what we spend.

I'll bet they gone and asked Ferguson for advice - naively, as if another manager is going to give you impartial advice - and he has bigged up his former captain. The board have then gone all swoony and swallowed it, hook, line and sinker.

I read a few days back that they'd consulted Brady at length about him and she told them he'd done a great job whilst the jokers were in charge. She must be pissing herself laughing now.

I wouldn't be surprised if you are right, Paulie.

Genuinely bothers me that VILLA fans have damaged VILLA property. It's ridiculous.
