I don't get this obsession with managers having Premier league experience, Ferguson, Benitez, Wenger, Mancini, Houllier first time around, Mouhrinho, Ancelotti, Moyes, all went to clubs without having managed in the top flight here. Who on earth is advising our board about managers?

I've had this strange whirring noise in my head all evening.  I've just realised what it is, it's.......... my old man spinning in his grave!

No im sorry , but if the bastard gets the job then its a mockery , why the **** would the American twat not appoint mclaren if he really was worried about what the fans think , the dickheads apparently did not appoint mclaren due to fan pressure , are they ******* blind , nobody at all wants mcleish , why the **** would he appoint the ex manager of the team which is loathed by every villa fan world wide , Its hypocrisy at the highest . its ridiculous , It makes my blood boil and i guarantee you a lot of season tickets will be returned .

Its typical of an American owner who knows nothing about tradition and passion to appoint the ex manager of the team we hate , its a ******* sick joke ,  And everything he has done in the past goes out the window...

I wonder if Carlos Cuellar will move back to Rangers in a swap for McGregor? Old boys network.

Does anyone know who McLeish's backroom staff are?  Is Nigel Spink with him?

One positive from appointing McLeish, Randy will HAVE to spend big to justify the appointment.  Fans need winning over.

if Randy had plans do spend big do you honestly think we would be interviewing McLeish tomorrow?

Exactly.

It's even more laughable that we get accused of tapping up, if that's true and we've abandoned our ethics for this.

Just said on SSN that Pannu is going to lodge an officlal complaint tomorrow.  No doubt with us not being a top four club or from London, the FA/premier League will deduct us a million points.

SSN are yellow striping that Pannu is saying our actions challenge Premier League rules.  I really hope he's true & has Petrocelli, Kavanagh QC, Judge John Deed & Rumpole of the Bailey in their legal team.  If they want donations to fund the case I'm happy to help (although Blose'd probably qualify for Legal Aid...)

Anyone got Johnny Cochrane's number?

He could use the famous Chewbacca defense to win.

Well, what a truely shit day.

Went to see my mom in hospital today and initial indications from the scan are that she has liver cancer.  I then come home to find out about the news of Alex McLeish.

Tomorrow I go back to the hospital for the full report but I am holding out no hope as she is 84, has dementia and with the sudden weight loss it is almost certain.  It will be just about the worst day of my life if AM is appointed manager as well.

At this point in time I have no feelings for the club and Randy Lerner as my thoughts are with my mother and our family.

I said last night if Randy Lerner makes this decision he will have made his bed and have to lie in it.

I just cannot see any logic or reason for appointing AM based on his three and a half seasons in English football.

Does anyone else think Pannu is kicking off this much because he is 'acting' chairman and thinks if he doesn't he won't ever become the 'real Chairman? Sorry top drag us away from the McLeish love-fest.
