I've had the unfortunate experience of listening to TalkShite take the piss out of us all day with their media bolx and insisting all this is because of the way Villa have handled themselves whilst praising Chelski for keeping their appointment out of the media...isnt that what Randy and co have been trying to do? They even had the nerve to say that we dont deserve a top flight manager and that we deserve everything we get after the way the board and fans have conducted themselves over the last 10 days. Unbelievable these ppl are allowed to air their views publicly and even worse that people (including Villa fans) believe the shite they peddle day in day out.

I'm still not convinced we have made anything other than an enquiry for Big Eck which is being blown way out of proportion and as a club seeking a manager it should be part of their job to do so, but if Randy doesnt take notice of the mass negativity coming from Villa fans including this 10,000 person Facebook petition then he really does need to answer questions.

Anyone got a link to this Facebook campaign anyway? I need to sign up!

Surely the club has kept its own council on this issue.
It is the media that have kept on introducing new names as they flounder about in ignorance. The talk about Chelsea is so little because everyone has assumed that Hiddink will walk out on Turkey to join them - end of.

It is very frustrating waiting whilst every tom, dick and harry is selected by the media but I trust the board and await their decision with baited breath!

Everton have signed two players this week?

Not that I'm pinning any hopes on Moyes but the quote about not being interested was when Houllier was still here so its waht you'd expect him to say. He was also quoted as saying he wants a fresh challenge. That's why it hasnt gone away yet.
You can ask people to forget Moyes all you like but until it's definitive, it won't. There is too much chatter about him being one of our top targets for that, whether it's true or false.
For all we know we've had a word with him and offered him something very tempting. You never know.

I'd sooner just go and get somebody like Benitez or van Gaal without any strings though. Plus they're better managers.

I was just about to say that that quote was when GH was still incharge.  No one from Everton has said anything and it appears to be all the sources opening their mouths.  I admit, getting DM is a long shot but until he has again confirmed that he is not interested 100%, then we can only hope!

Moyes has let it be known yesterday via senior everton sources that he will not be going to villa and for some reason randy doesn't fancy Hughes unfortunately.

I wont believe anything until either Moyes comes out and says it himself or if Kenwright comes out and says it.  There are a million and one "sources" out there and majority of them talk rubbish.  If Moyes was genuinely not interested, then he should have come out and said it

He did, though.

Quote
He added: "I know nothing about it and they have a really good manager in place who unfortunately is ill at the moment.

"The last thing he needs to hear is someone talking about his job but I'm not interested in it, so that answers it."

We need to stop this Moyes delusion, he's not leaving Everton.
You seem adamant that Moyes has publically said no to Villa yet no-one else has heard this...

I haven't heard Moyes say once he doesn't want the Villa job.

Right, the last time I was so apprehensive about re-newing my season ticket was when O'Dreary was in charge, I renewed then and within 3 weeks we had Martin O'Neill in the hot seat.
so to this end I have just renewed again for next season and here's hoping the manager (whoever it is) gets installed asap so we can put all this to bed.

Hey guys Harry Redknapp has said he's interested in the new Aston Villa job.

Here, he says: "I would be interested in the manager's job at such a triffic club like Aston Villa, I wouldn't rule it out"

I don't think he's said this publically but he 100% said this. Trust me.

Does anyone still think this is all smoke and mirrors?  I wonder if Mark Hughes's demands are too high for Villa and they are trying to play a clever game to get Hughes to back down a little. Maybe he has declared to Randy that he wants the Villa job but is asking for soemthing Villa can't deliver?

Or, are we really struggling to attract anyone half decent to take the job?

Definately a smokescreen mate!  It will be Hughes or Moyes for the job.
I would be very surprised if this wasn't the case.Hughes being the most likely.

i've been told today by 2 people who work in villa , that it is hughes. not 100% but what they are hearing.
If it is Hughes, and the longer it goes on without a new guy, the more likely it is Hughes. We cant say anything till July 1st. Then till that date, there is nothing to report, hence why the board arent saying anything, which seems to upset the media, and what a great shame that is!!! Not :-)

he was a contender last year, so why not now?

surely he is a better alternative than AMc

Haven't you heard?!

Redknapp just said he would be interested in the Villa job. I have no proof of him saying this and I don't think anyone else has heard this news but it's deffo true.
