Let's talk about the merits of Charlie Sheen getting the job. He also hasnt been approached by Villa.
I think he'd be a terrible appointment. He's be thinking of tits and drugs all the time instead of how to unlock Fulham's defence or how to prtect a lead against Chelsea. I think Randy needs to take a good long hard look at himself if he's looking at appointing him. Or Jane Asher.

For the last time, there's no evidence we've approached Jane Asher!

Take your point Greg but spurs fans said similar when George Graham went there- I don't remember them complaining though when he won a cup for them.

Think mo Johnston, kenny miller , both much worse cases but they won over the fans and if big eck gets results he will be accepted.

Ask a Spurs fan what they think of George Graham.  I think you'll be surprised if you think they'll talk fondly of him, cup or no cup.

Didn't a lot of them refuse to say his name and just called him man in a raincoat?

She'd be good for the catering depatment.  Don't think she does balti pies though.

I ve just heard from a reliable source that Mcleish resigned because the chairman ate his dog.

God knows what the previous chairman did to the poor creature.

Post of the thread!

(And probably more truth in it than much of what is bandied about in the press and on the interweb...)

If randy let's fans dictate to him who should and shouldn't be manager then he is a weak leader - he must choose who he and his advisers decide is the best man and back himself to make the right choice.

Without question that would rule McLeish out then!

Surely if we didnt interview mclaren because of fans disapproval then mcleish won't get anywhere near. And t those who say he wouldnt be a bad appointment, he's been relegated twice in four years, a track record like that shouldn't be anywhere near Aston villa

The point is, who actually have we interviewed, who actually have we been in contact with, believe me I am not saying this in a sarcastic or condescending way, I would seriously like to know.

Rumour Emilio Estevez will be taking over from Gary Mac as Assistant - Please Randy NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Pass me a marker pen and a bed sheet, Protest tomorrow at 3am if the club don't deny this. Disgusted of Nechells.

Nothing concrete but bookies reporting a bit of money this evening for housewives favourite Bob Warman.

Has no one seen the shit GK has posted on Facebook?

"Richard, you know I am not going to tell you anything. I will say that the uproar over McLeish is absolutely uncalled for....he certainly has proved he can manage in the big leagues...just imagine what he could do if he was with an owner who supported him."

"First off, NO ONE is confirming a rumor...I am just stating a belief. You all cling to the fact that he has seen his lads relegated twice...well, the first time he was not with the Club long enough to make much of a difference. Secondly, ...look at the owners he has worked for and their support of him monetarily. Then look at Randy and what he provides to his Managers. Third, look at his record with other Clubs...as a Manager and player. Check with Sir Alex and ask him about the man...you will get an entirely different sense. All I am saying is that the fact that he managed BCFC should not be the driving factor. Those fans who X the man out because he managed our biggest rival just seem to miss the point. YES, Randy and the Board understand the feeliings of the Fans...we are neither deaf nor blind. At the same time, whether it would be this man or any other, we need to do what we think is right for the Club. NO action is taken without HUGE input from many knowledgeable people. Honest to goodness, if a single man can cause all the fans to abandon ship, that is a sad state of affairs. What you are basically saying is, "Randy, let us pick the Manager...we know more than you, those who are advising you, those who are in the game and know the individuals, those who make a living recommending managers and players, etc. etc" Sorry, that just doesn't seem right to me. Again, I am not confirming the rumor...just simply stating my feelings...as a FAN!!!!!!!!"
