Grayson would be an excellent choice, in my opnion.
Agreed. Again it's a risk, but think it's one worth taking.

Have the club actually confirmed that contact has been made with Birmingham? because for some reason radio five live are saying Aston villa have confirmed they have made a polite enquiery about the managers situation at Birmingham.

In Randy I trust - and yes I will be renewing my ST tomorrow. Managers come and go, Villa are constant. If McCleish comes and is successful then great, if not off he goes the blue nose twat and we try again.

Whilst trying to get ourselves out of the championship! >:(

we've been there before and we may go there again, that's life, the highs and lows of Aston Villa F.C, founder member of the Football League, everyone needs to just chill out and wait....

I have no wish to become embroiled in any personal arguments, as is being shown on here we all have differing opinions but I've always believed in the tenet of prevention being better than cure.

Shouldn't that be "a reliable sauce"?

No, nothing on the official site so nothing has been confirmed.  File under bullshit.

This cannot happen.  It just cannot...FFS McLeish has managed in Glasgow - he knows what he'd be in for from day 1.  It would be an absolute disaster without question.

For me its simple...

We started the season without a manager, we ended the season without a manager, we still don't look anywhere nearer getting a manager, we seem incapable of attracting anyone of any reasonable quality, people speak of faith, I'm sure there where some on the Titanic that where convinced something would save them just before they where plunged to there icy graves.

Evening people

Did you read General Krulaks post yesterday or does that involve actually having to compute the information and is hence too difficult.

I read the post and replied to it.

Thought it was on the whole rubbish, thought that it was someone trying to plicate the fan base with the carrot that they are trying to find something that isn't there and in the final conclusion will employ someone that will leave us all scratching our heads as to what the phuk that was all about, bit like Houllier really.

Of course he's trying to placate the fanbase, some of whom, yourself included, are wetting themselves at having to wait a week or so to find out about their new Manager.

As for your comment about finding something that isn't there, I assume you'been party to the discussions between Randy and the interviewees then?

If he played attractive football and signed good players I'd be ok as not really fussed about the Blues link.

I agree. The Blues link is not the problem. The football is.

My thoughts exactly.

And mine. They've been awful to watch in both divisions. I'd rather have had alladyce.

Why don't they just come put and say no if they haven't had any contact with McLeish? It then just stops all rumours.
