I think McLeish would be a decent signing. I like his approach to the game, he is very defensive minded. I remember his failures(2 regulations), but I don't forget his achievements either. He has won the League Cup and won 7th place last year with Birmingham City, and at the SPL he has won everything. He is a master of defence. If we don't concede any goals, with the best finisher in the league(Bent), Albrighton's enthusiasm and passion, Gabby's speed on counter attack and Downing we will definetely score. We will probably play some ugly football, but winning is all that matters for me.

Sarcasm?

7th in the league doesn't count for much if you are relegated the year after.

Cup win? Whilst don't begrudge him that, their name did seem to be on the cup, as it were....

Nothing to do with the blose connection but really don't rate him.

The most damning thing about this whole saga is that the 'Noses don't seem bothered about the loosing the manager that won them their first major trophy.

Says it all really.

If it is not McLeish then what are all the other contenders doing?
Moyes gone off boil..Talk..says he is remaining at Everton.
We are lashing overselves into a lather and will accept him out of pure exhaustion.
Small minded, cheapskate, penny pinching, mid-table at best ambitions!

Blues finished 9th the season before last. While the defense may be sound, it's everything else that I'm worried about. Do you really think Downing and Bent are going to stick around if McLeish turns up? The first sniff of interest from elsewhere and they'll be off. I'm sorry, but if McLeish became manager (and I don't think he will), then everything the papers ever said about us being mid-table, lacking of ambition and not wanting to spend money will be true. It would be a massive step backwards, he's not the manager we need to get us challenging again. It's the sort of appointment Coventry would make.

I'm anti him not for his blues connection, though it doesnt help, but its his style of football, and the fact that there are alot of better candidates out there,i hope that this thing about PL experience is b.s,as it rules out a good few contenders.

If that's true then they have something better than us in the P.R. dept.
