MM said earlier today, that we definitely werent interested in McCleish. So make of it what you will. I've got a horrible feeling he's wrong.

He better not be, as I said it would be a shocking appointment truly awful.

Thing is, there's nothing worth reporting football wise for the media right now apart from to speculate who's going to manage us (they must be bored with Chelsea).

As the only headline they could honestly write would be "Absolutely no idea who's going to be Villa's manager, Randy runs a tight ship and does things privately" won't sell many papers or get many viewers, it's all just sky sports understands, unconfirmed sources, a club insider reports, someone has twittered and such bollocks.

I think we have another two of weeks of this if Hughes is indeed involved, either directly or indirectly. Seems to me that despite the ITK's etc etc, there are only a handful of people that actually know, and that's how it's likely to stay.

Fucking annoying though !!

He stated that he couldn't see a reason why AM shouldn't get the job and that the fans just don't want him because of his Small Heath links.

Condescending fuckin' Wolves fan, never mentioned the two relegations.

OK - I've been reading now since this thread was started, but its getting damn right disgraceful now!

I can only suggest we all complain to the club!  On the website under 'CLUB' then 'CLUB CONTACTS' is an email enquiry form where you can complain!

I honestly think this is a valid complaint and one I would rather express 'prior' to any 'potential' ex scum manager being put in charge of our club!

My wife has said for days that it will be announced on my birthday, which is Wednesday, and a full moon.

We should build a barracade at the gates so he can`t get in to talk to us.

This whole episode has just gone from bad to worse. I go to Southend for a few days and look what happens.

I just cannot believe that a week ago we were hopeful of an Ancelotti or a Benitez and now we're having to scrape the bottom of the barrel. This has been very badly managed.

could it be that while we are all screaming our heads off, randy learner and co are just trying to waste as much time waiting till the end of the month to nab hughes, leaving false trails everywhere, ?

Don't give up Irish! Let's wait and see what really happens, then we can criticise the appointment...or praise it! We need to stay omptimistic while wallowing in all this press crap.

I think McLeish would be a decent signing. I like his approach to the game, he is very defensive minded. I remember his failures(2 regulations), but I don't forget his achievements either. He has won the League Cup and won 7th place last year with Birmingham City, and at the SPL he has won everything. He is a master of defence. If we don't concede any goals, with the best finisher in the league(Bent), Albrighton's enthusiasm and passion, Gabby's speed on counter attack and Downing we will definetely score. We will probably play some ugly football, but winning is all that matters for me.
