So if randy chose someone you dont want Hartman is he letting you down or is he standing by his own belief and doing what he feels is right for the club that he owns?

Whoever he picks will be the man he and the board believe is right and the people advising him- most of the ex players and managers who have voiced opinions today on tv and radio seem to be very much admirers of Alex mcleish, and we are told randy himself is an admirer and quizzed karren Brady at length about mcleish , so you never know.
If he appoints Mcleish, I will be amazed. I wouldn't be happy with him, but I will support him and I would then expect RL to support him in the transfer market, like he has done with every other manager. Do I think he is the right man? No, but like everyone else on here, I do not know the slightest thing about running a football club. The thing that I find most frustrating about you Eastie is that every time we are linked with a high profile manager, you are very quick to dismiss it and blame it on speculation, but as soon as we are linked with someone who the fans wouldn't welcome, it is like christmas has come early. It is obviously going to happen, the club are going nowhere blah blah blah, when in the last 5 years of RL's tenure and the ambition he has show, I have seen nothing to we would just settle for someone like AM. If we do however, I am sure you will be delighted.

I'll standingly ovate, if you don't mind.

yep well said hartman. We might not all like the eventual appointment, but we'll all need to get behind him and support the "club". The club's success is directly related to the work of the manager, and we should all want him to do well irrespective how we might feel about him.

"Gloves are coming off" -  my bollocks they are.

Why are you wearing gloves on your bollocks?

And why are you talking like Yoda?

Because Yoda I am, and my bollocks - protection they need

On that point hartman I've said from the start I'd like anyone from ancelotti , Hughes , Benitez and moyes and have been hugely hopeful of each one as we were linked with them- any of those I'd be delighted.

On Martinez I was not happy as I think it's too big a club for him at this time and he and Grayson are both not ready.

Mcleish would be well down my list but I would give the guy my support and think he could do a decent job in the long haul.

Randy is meeting with Frank this week.  He will be selling the dream team of him with Sid as assistant manager.  They will buy back Sir Gary from Bolton to get the project rolling.   Franks odds are falling nicely today.

Where you getting your confidence from?!

He has said he wants the job and I would say he is probably the best available option on the market.  It is the logical choice.  Randy gambled last time with GH and it went badly wrong.

Whether he has resigned or not I cannot see this happening unless blues receive compensation for the remainder of his contract.

I am not against Mcleish due to his Blues connection (if anything slightly more because of his Rangers connection actually) but that I don't think he is a very good manager...

Dear God alive.

Now, now Paulie. That way madness lies.

Keep reminding yourself that they couldn't be that stupid.

Randy would be mad to sign AM.  The bad feeling would make it a non starter.

It is a non starter. The media have made a nonsense of this from the start and its more of the same.
They need to fill some columns and lack imagination. So they'll keep flogging this horse way into the afterlife.
