1) The only bet I am interested in is just how many pages of hysteria this will run to before the announcement is on the official site or 'ITSOTP' as the moniker goes. I think we will now exceed 650 pages before we are done.

2) This thread could form someone's dissertation in psychology titled 'The Madness of Crowds'.  As an exercise in hysteria I've never seen anything like it. I think its interesting that the 'older' members are more patient but the 'Twitterati' seem to think every exercise like this needs to be executed in a day with regular updates at every stage. Unbelievable.

Is guessing the number of pages a thread will go to the most tedious question somebody can possibly ask? Maybe.

I have to chuckle, the easiest way to become hated must be to buy a football club and spent £200mln on it!!!

There is another way and that is to use a different font and colour to everyone else!!
Anyway welcome to the site.

But seriously, who is advising Lerner?  IS there any strategy at all?

Why talk to Ancellotti if you can want a manager who can manage on a budget?  Seriously...

Why dismiss Hughes as an option becasue of his 'manner' of departure? Fayed is a colourful character who is happy with a team in the top 10, so Hughes left, so what?  Did he break his contract? No.

And if Hughes walking away in such a 'manner' casued offence then exactly is the manner in which McLeish has walked away?

Seriosuly, Lerner is away, between the General and the CEO I do not think any one is givign any worthwhile advice to the man with his hands repeatedly dipping into his pockets.

And why does every single approach have to be in the media, cal the guys, see them make a decision, that's it...I think there are a bunch of incompetents running the club with the Chairman's millions :P

Welsome, but please don't type in blue, I've taken all the formatting off your post.

Can we have a simple yes/no poll for that?

Can't see it being Mcleish, Moyes or Hughes

Know as much as the next bloke (basically fcuk all) but that is what my gut says!

Did hear David Platt? So expect his name on Paddy Power later.

I don't think we've officially denied any of the numerous links.
