More chance of me flying to the moon. Seriously what is in it for Moyes to come here

9 years doing the same job, not really getting any further.

New challenge? He's not going to get Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal jobs any time soon.

Also, the reports about Randy not wanting Hughes because of the way he left Fulham are a bit odd seeing as though we asked Wigan if we could speak to Martinez to try and get him to do the same thing to them as Hughes, ie, walk out on his club.

Is there is a press conference at Everton, then it wont be to announce Moyes is leaving.  Press conferences are never called to announce a manager is leaving.

No we would ask permission to get him to agree to join us and we would compensate Wigan for doing so.

It seems Fulham turned down our request and hughes took it upon himself to just quit. Thats what put Randy off.

Well Hughes walked out because Fulham's "ambition did not match his own" and thought it would be unfair on them if he was "always looking over his shoulder" at bigger jobs.  We approached Wigan and asked if we could speak to their manager and see if we couldn't tempt him to join the side of right and justice.

Have the club definitely ruled out the prospect of an internal appointment - Cowans, McAllister or McDonald? Or are things not that bad yet?

Go on then. One more time...

- Better resources.
- Better contract.
- More chance of success than where he is.
- Better club.
- He's been there too long
- Quoted as wanting a fresh challenge.
- Best offer he'll get at the moment.

etc.

Where is the honour in hiring McLeish?
« Reply #6463 on: June 13, 2011, 11:40:01 AM »
I have to chuckle, the easiest way to become hated must be to buy a football club and spent £200mln on it!!!

But seriously, who is advising Lerner?  IS there any strategy at all?

Why talk to Ancellotti if you can want a manager who can manage on a budget?  Seriously...

Why dismiss Hughes as an option becasue of his 'manner' of departure? Fayed is a colourful character who is happy with a team in the top 10, so Hughes left, so what?  Did he break his contract? No.

And if Hughes walking away in such a 'manner' casued offence then exactly is the manner in which McLeish has walked away?

Seriosuly, Lerner is away, between the General and the CEO I do not think any one is givign any worthwhile advice to the man with his hands repeatedly dipping into his pockets.

And why does every single approach have to be in the media, cal the guys, see them make a decision, that's it...I think there are a bunch of incompetents running the club with the Chairman's millions :P
