Roll on the new Charlie Aitken.
Forget foreign imports. we'll have 2/3 of Scottish National side. The youth team will provide all the selling players in the futre and the wage bill will be sharply reduced.
These are the +ve points on a McLeish appointment.
Maybe McLeish has accepted the Cardiff job an the extra pos side?
Oh well at least Hughes seems to be committed to the sidelines.
So much for glam managers.
Back to the 70's..why hasn't MickMac been interviewed?

how many of these fans who say they will stay away if mcleish comes will actually do so? when the opening home game comes i think most will be there- aston villa is our club whoever is manager- its in the veins!

It's what's in your veins that worries me.

If it is going to be Hughes there will be a long wait. By then, I think most people will have also lost the will to live.

If we appointed McLeish today I would boycott VP for 2 months. That will teach them!

To be fair, it is a Sunday afternoon! Probably not too many people working at the club today to issue denials and put our minds at rest.

so paul faulkner doesnt possess the means to communicate when hes away from villa park?

Who do you think he's going to communicate with? It's Sunday.

The General has said we won't respond to every piece of shite spouted by the media. I know we think the McLeish is an exception to this rule but in reality they won't change their approach.

In many ways it will take the pressure off whoever we do appoint because we'll all say "thank fuck it's not McLeish".

When they have something of value to say, they'll say it.

Given the 'word' that came out earlier that reconfirmed Moyes aint coming (thank god), I think we should remind ourelves that it will more than likely be Hughes in a couple of weeks time.
After the events of today, it should be greeted by universal approval.

Told my mate yesterday "anyone but Clough"! But I would now carry him to B6 myself to avoid today's favourite!!

A few weeks back I would have been happy with Hughes. That seems a long time ago now. What have I missed on this issue with Hughes, why would it be in a couple of weeks time?

I'd rather shit in my hands and clap then have that ginger bellend in the dugout.

I think that's that's the protest banner slogan sorted. Get it outside Bodymoor by 9am sharpish.

That is pure poetry!!

His contract with Fulham states that if he quits, he can't talk to other interested parties for a month.
