If I can remember how that Alan Partridge sketch went when he was trapped in his stalkers house - "I'm going to level with you all now-I'm a little bit scared".
Bravo

If he's appointed, I shall shout the famous line at McLeish from the same episode.

'No way! You're a big spastic, you're a mentalist.'

Appointing McLeish would be the equivalent of serving tea in an Arielator.
The Martinez approach was akin to exiting the Travel Lodge and giving all their staff goodies inside a sanitary towel bag.

Blues will not allow him to speak to any club without permission.

Maybe it's just coincidence.  Maybe he wasn't involved in buying King and resigned because of Board interference in playing matters. Yeah that'll be it won't it.

*reaches for gin bottle*

You might be right I heard McLeish said he needed six attackers, Young gave him a sex attacker.

If Forest gets McClaren, Chelsea gets Hughes we don't have many choices, do we?

Thinking about it he may well have resigned as it sounds like the Blues board are going to be selling any of their vaguely half decent players and wouldn't have given him any money to buy new ones. Their academy is no great shakes so whoever takes over will have a hell of a job on their hands if they think they're coming straight back up.

Yep, so after a sleepless night tonight, we could all be (hopefully) laughing again at the noses at work next week when it emerges that he will not take over.

Had loads of abuse regarding Martinez and McLaren (I think they were still sore about relegation). They never learn...

So, two weeks ago, all the talk of Ancelotti and Benitez and co.

Now, we're looking at McLeish, having been turned down by Wigan's manager?

That's a bit like trying to shag Megan Fox but ending up in bed with Sonia from Eastenders.

Not really, more like being told you can shag all of The Corrs and then finding yourself in bed with the brother!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

If mcleish signs I ent getting a season ticket. Villa til I die my arse. Keep calm, carry on and give the bloke a chance. His record isn't the worst. Looked like breaking the old firm stranglehold with hibs, won trophies with rangers when they looked done for, got scotland promising again, won a trophey with blose for the 1st time in their miserable existance, highest finish in 50 off years. He wouldn't be the worst choice

Kendrick thinks it will be McLeish

He also thought it would be Ancelotti.

Where was this? He hasn't even been on twitter today?

It won't happen guys. Randy Lerner will know that McLeish appt would create a huge divide amongst Villa Fans. It is just not feasible to think that McLeish has ever been in his thoughts. IGNORE IT.

McClaren to NFFC, Moyes to AVFC, McLeish to EFC, Davies to BCFC.
