Twenty spot on Rijkaard at 18s is the ticket.  He will be at the helm by Thursday.

Yeah definitely. I'm going to put all my savings on it.
Got no savings left. Spent them on a Season Ticket!

mcleish would not be in my top 5 but if we are talking about the likes of martinez and grayson then mcleish would look more favourable- hes managed rangers well and scotland and given a club like villa wouldnt be overwhelmed by it- an interesting option albeit controversial.

saunders has his failures before coming to villa and just because blues went down i wouldnt discount mcleish.

I'd rather have Martinez than McCleish.

I'd rather have shingles than McLeish.

I've had shingles and I'll second that...

cant name names, but have been advised of this :

McLeish is first choice but Lerner is concerned about the fans reaction. Source: inside Villa is all I'll say.
Season ticket sales matter I guess. Keep an eye on the fans forums because if they are in any way positive towards AM then he'll be signed.

so, say NO to McLeish.............you have been warned!

That poll is becoming embarassing. Where's Eddie Hitler? Kendrick's mysterious "Mr. X"? And Grayson. Sort it out!

You can tell when the hacks really have'nt got a clue when even a local journalist refers to our new manager as 'Mr X'. I think personally Randy ought be be congrautulated for making them all look so bloody stupid.

Kendrick is no fool. I reckon we're going to appoint the world's first incognito manager, with him conducting all interviews wearing a STIG-like helmet and a voice box. People will speculate its Mourinhio under there and season tickets will go through the roof.

It could work, each press conference could start off a voice saying something along the lines of 'some say he invented the bicycle kick'.........

heheheh. I'm sold. Randy do your stuff.........

instead of taking notice of fans forums randy should conduct the interviews and choose who he deems best for the job-theres no way of pleasing us all and whoever it is would hopefully get the backing of fans once appointed.

I would go for hughes , even if we have to pay fulham a small fee to approach him now, however if it was mcleish as villa boss he would have my full support.

The McLeish thing is a joke, right?
You're all part of a conspiracy to keep me awake at night and to ruin my day off tomorrow!

Oh really!!

BLUES are not concerned at all about Villa’s search for a new manager encompassing a call to St Andrew’s.

Should they try an audacious attempt to lure Alex McLeish across the city to replace Martin O’Neill, they would receive short shrift.

Some Blues fans are worried that as McLeish’s contract saga has dragged on he could be ripe for the picking.

Fulham had him on their list of candidates had a deal not been struck with Mark Hughes to take over from Roy Hodgson.

But a Villa link is not bothering the Blues hierarchy, who had further talks with Big Eck about his long-term future on Monday.

A boardroom source said: “The club have not heard anything or been approached by Villa, so they don’t wish to speculate on this issue.

“Alex still has a year left on his contract, plus another year rolling.

“Negotiations over his new contract are proceeding well. The club have given him revised incentives to consider.”

I like Greg's idea.   It could be like the old Invisible Man movies when he had to be bandaged like a mummy in scenes in which he actually appeared.   It would be a hoot at matches he could actually run outside the technical area and if any of our players needed a drink or a tie up you would just see the object flying across the pitch.

The Invisible Man was only visible in smoke so there would have to be a rigidly enforced non smoking code at press conferences.

Oh yes, and on his track suit would be the letters TIM.
