Let's go back to the 1900's when the board picked the team and purchased the players, this is getting boring now, the newspapers are slagging us off left right and centre because they are pissed off not knowing, yesterday 3 different newspapers had us with 4 different managers, and talksport ain't got a clue
said we have been looking for a manager for 6 weeks now  uuuuuhg !

Some Press reporting that heavy betting yesterday , mostly emanating from N.Yorkshire , reduced the odds on Simon Grayson becoming the new Villa Manager from 50-1 to 5-2 .
Grayson replacing McAllister ....again ?!
I was  thinking this week how suprising  it wasGrayson,s name has,nt been mentioned before now , another is Claudio Ranieri .
..............Godzvilla!

I feel much more comfortable with the Grayson idea than Bobby Martin. Essentially he has managed huge expectation at Leeds, within fairly tight budgets and in the face of losing their best player before the start of this season, and still performed well on their return to the championship. They fell short yes, but have the basis to build on. Their cup performances were very good too, winning at Old Trafford, the draw at Spurs etc.

The government should control the press.  That would be a far more healthy situation.

Villa-love is a shy, awkward, ginger haired 46 year old birmingham city supporter who still lives with his mom.

This is how low the fans have sunk considering managers from the championship! I suppose League 1 is next on the agenda, hopefully (better be) the board are aiming higher than this because this is Aston Villa and we deserve better than this!

The truth is the bookies are having a field day, how many 'favourites' have there been in the last 10 days.

the papers are joke right now. Villa being "rejected" by Martinez (or spun another way - "stayed loyal to his current employer") is the big managerial news. Yet Chelsea, are completely ignored. Like their situation is any different to ours. In fact you could argue it's worse - 7 managers in 7 years, a maniac of an owner that buys players/sacks employees based on his mood and who is obsessed with the CL. If they don't get Hiddink, then who wants to go there now? The only people they'll attract are those that will be expect a massive payout at the end, not anyone serious about staying the course. But that's not news. Villa allegedly being in chaos is.

To sum up the generals post. As I read it anyway...

- Ignore media, they know fuck all.
- Seeking best man for the job, not neccessarily a "name" simply to please people (not that the name will not also please people but its not a priority).
- Randy will back said man as always.

I think thats all fair enough.

The most interesting point has been missed. When did M&S start doing Balti Pies?

a maniac of an owner that buys players/sacks employees based on his mood

I think that's the difference.  Chelsea have a maniac of an owner with (alleged) links to the Russian mafia.  Villa's owner writes letters to chairmen to ask permission to speak to their managers.
