I can only repeat what I've said before. I've been told by people up there that Moyes is a lot happier with the situation at Goodison than common perception would have you believe.
I cant see any reason to believe that he would be unhappy, he is settled there, has a great relationship with the chairman, gets to run the football side of things without interference, is generally supported by the fans. He has to work to a budget but so do most managers. Everton seem like a club that are pretty united.

Is there a reason why Paul Lambert isn't in the frame?

If we were to risk an up-and-coming manager, why not him?

With regard to the "Rabbit out of the hat" option. I was listening to BBC Radio 5 Live this morning and they were speaking to the coach of an international team.
The said coach had no previous experience of coaching or managing at  League level, but said when asked, that if a club asked them if they were interested, they would be quite happy to talk to said club.
The Villa wasn't mentioned in the interview. It was a purely rhetorical question.
So just for fun and to lighten the mood.......Name That Coach!!
By the way the person was English!!

Stuart Baxter, manager of Finland?
Wrong!

Hope Powell?
Congratulations, so I'm not the only 5 Live listener.

If we could get Moyes or he was even a possibility then surely we would have got it done rather than twatting about with Martinez?

ranieri and wilkins i'd go for then, if we're sticking to Lerner's "Unemployed or can we speak to your manager pretty please" format.

Ranieiri and Wilkins would be better than a lot of what has been mooted!

Coyle would be my pick though. He is most like Moyes for me, and would have to be successful to move up again.

It's getting boring now so I advise that you have a look at Nicole Scherzinger on Graham Norton show in a rather  interesting outfit.
