Just got back from the local shops. On the way there I saw an old dear struggling with some bags. I asked her if she could manage. She told me that she doesn't want the Villa job, either.

No, what he is saying is we had a shortlist of 7, and Martinez was one of these, but declared himself out early on.

Not that I believe it anyway, but it doesn't say one person was above any other - just says 7 were on the shortlist

Why £7 ?

Strange figure - why not a tenner ?

Give us the website, I'm gonna stick £6.74p on

That's what I had left in the account.

Is what I assumed.

Quite a pleasant surprise actually. Haven't used that account in about six months. Even bigger surprise to see I have £51 over at Bet365. Can't believe I forgot about that much money considering how tight I usually am.

Oh , as simple as that  ;D

Anyway - Moyes

I dont believe anything anymore - it would not surprise me if the breaking news on tomorrows Sky Sports welcome to the weekend is "Ant and Dec close to agreeing terms for Villa job"

But I will be over the moon with moyes - and with Tim Howard, who would presumably follow
My God, I had to put my glasses on to check out that Ant and Dec quote.
I thought it said "Anc and Doc".
Mind you I'd love to be in Fleet St. tonight with a headline linking Ancellotti  and Tommy Doc looming large!!!

Maybe they intended on a selection process to decide who got the job?

Just watched the clip on youtube of the Moyes/Lerner handshake last September (before Everton at home) which is unremarkable except at the end they put the odds up for our next manager and Houllier was 66/1 !

Even Martin O'Neill is only 50-1 now.
