I'm not convinced by the real MysteryMan, let alone the imposter one!

Just an update on the 'fake' mysteryman as someone called him on twitter. It seems that it will be Moyes within 24 hours. Believe what you will.

Come on Pelty, spill the beans son.

Wow. We've gone from the excitement of Carlo Ancelotti to arguments over the Wigan Athletic manager in just a few days.  If Randy pulls something out of the bag now he deserves a knighthood.

Some of the things I read on here beggar belief. People need to realize that it takes more than a batting of the eyelashes to attract a manager. Interestingly, it takes two to tango, so what if certain individuals are identified but do not wish to come. Is that a lack of ambition on Villa's part? Let's say, hypothetically (seriously), a Low or an Ancelotti or a van Gaal is approached and he says, "No thanks." Does that mean that Randy is not ambitious or does it mean that a manager has his own agenda or reasons for not accepting the offer? What if a prospect wants to hold the club to ransom and this does not sit well with the owner? Does this make the owner one who lacks ambition or a prudent steward of the club? What if a prospect (or more than one, even!) has decided that he feels an obligation to be loyal to his current club and thus decides to stay where he is? Does this mean that Randy is a hack?

Clearly, it does to someone like Risso who has it all figured out.

Where have I said ANY of what you accuse me of in your first paragraph?  I've had a look through my posts to see what I've said that could have set off such a scathing attack, and am honestly at a loss.

A synopsis of the last 30 pages or so please since this morning? I've been out all day at cricket festival and seem to have missed out on all the fun.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

That should just about cover it all for you, Lee.

Regarding Benitez wanting fortunes, I think this is total made up tripe by Sky sports Crap.

Yet again an attempt to say Villa are skint. 30m is absolute nowt, Randy is not a fool, we are selling Young, we have let Freidal go.

Even conservative estimates shows it will cost £15-£20 million just to replace those two.

everything with a pinch of salt. They know nothing. Today they are trying to highlight Coyle - thats all they want, to get fans to put money on this through SkyBet.

I will go on record here, our manager will be one of Ancelotti, Benitez, Moyes , or (this one is vague) a european quality manager in vein of Rijkaard, Flores, Ranieri , Van Gaal etc... - no matter what they say

(and regarding Pelty being ITK board members son - considering more noise has been coming out the mouth of Henry 8th over the last few days than Aston Villa football club (inc. GK) I wouldn't have thought a board member is going to allow his son to come on a website - do you ?

How ironic that Dave Whelan commented on "if only more clubs were like Villa, then football would be better for it" or words to that effect. Very true Dave, very true. What a prick. Im all for him ensuring his club are looked after, but to spout bollocks about "doing things the right way" whilst being an underhand cretin is ridiculous.

Ahh so Pelty is a director's son.  I thought the boss had just walked in as everyone - well almost everyone - started being really polite.

marginally off topic, but I was just chatting to a spurs fan who watches ALOT of Sky Sports News and follows football generally (i.e. not that one eyed) and I asked what the outside view of Villa was.

He was pretty much unaware that we are in crisis as the hysteria on here would suggest.  You've got to remember that the rest of the world could give a shit where Randy's plane was.  I'd imagine if you went on a Chelsea board they are also going ape-shit because Hiddink hasn't signed, Hughes linked etc etc.

I think the only people who cry hysteria are the red tops,SSn,talksport, and some folk on here who believe it all. We obviously don't want the drama of last summer, but its only been just over a week since GH departed. The thing about lack of money and Benetiz could be b.s,we didn't even speak to Martinez as he backed up his promise to his chairman about signing a new contract.

Basically we know fcuk all,and that includes local press, who the red tops follow. I'm glad the club don't release anything. We had that under Doug, and I don't want us to carry out our business in the media, like the two tits at West Ham.

I know its bs but hey its better than nothing! Just thought people would want a bit of speculation. Personal wishlist and who I would be very happy with is Moyes, QSF or Rijkaard.

I did say that Whelan is one of the most ruthless, underhanded indivuduals I've ever had the displeasure of meeting.  He wasn't being nice to us, he was being devious and making sure that he came out of the last few days looking good.  If you knew some of the things he'd got up to down the years, you wouldn't be at all surprised.

The MysteryMan that lives in my head says we are appointing Lionel Messi as player-manager. Meltdown!

No to rijkaard for me. Imagine his half time motivation. Greenies flying left right and centre. Wouldn't want to have to clean up after him.

Disgusting man. (Blimey I sound like me dad)

To paraphrase the Simpsons, Dave Whelan didn't get rich by writing lots of cheques. He knew exactly what he was doing, the little tinker.
