I still hope there's something in these overnight rumours though.

What overnight rumours?

We need a rabbit producing from Randy,s hat!!!
I think we are standing right on the edge at the moment and it could be a very long way down. The profile of our club is at a lowpoint and in the recruitment of new talent that is a disaster. I dont think Roberto at this point is the answer....
We need someone to ignite the passion that is well hidden at Villa Park . BFR did that, and i think that MON did at the start
Let Martinez have another couple of years at Wigan, if he still manages to keep them up then his stock will have risen and he maybe ready, but not now!
We need a 2 year Adventure to see where it takes us

All that shit with Shaun Teale and Mat Kendrick on twitter and so on.

Just had a look at Oddschecker.com and the odds on Martinez are drifting out and the odds on Hughes shortening quite a bit.

I would be happy with Mark Hughes.

I agree, Hughes wouldn't be a bad choice at all. It would probably help get the best out of Ireland and Warnock. 2 players that on their day can be good enough, 2 players we certainly may need...

Compared to Martinez, I would be more than happy with Hughes too.

I loved Teale as a player, but can never fully trust anyone that spells 'Sean' that way!

The longer it drags on, the more likely Hughes becomes I think.

I think Warnock can be salvaged and save us some cash in the market, but with Irealnd I think there's too much water gone undre the bridge and it would also hinder Delph's development.

What a how d'you do. By now, I just hope whoever gets the job can stay in it, because the thought of another managerial mardi gras like this one gives me a stint of the screaming abdabs.

I think the longer this drags on the more likely it is it'll be someone we don't expect.

There's more chance of Ireland than Warnock. Warnock has slagged us off left right and centre. The club, the staff, the area... etc
Fuck him I want him out of here asap.

Since Houlier left with all these different favourites in the betting, Hughes has always been a close second on the betting , he has never moved.
