This is,brilliant. Fair play to Lerner for giving the press the run around! I'm getting more confident we'll get it right. Completely left field what about Laursen? He's was quoted on the OS yesterday and he's started his coaching badges. And that would lead to melrdown. Wouldn't it?
The fact that he does not have any experience or his coaching badges rules him out........at least for a couple of years

Didn't  Boro appoint Southgate before he'd got his badges?

Sampdoria appointed Platt without his badges I believe!

just had it on good authority that it is mclaren. meetings scheduled for tomorrow with benitez and hughes have been cancelled by Villa.  :'(

rafa has not turned us down, meeting was set for tomorrow for face to face meeting but villa have cancelled and decided to look elsewhere following preliminary discussions through rafa's representatives. Villa's choice not his.

Make your mind up.

Martinez…. Anyone see any positives to appointing him considering who’s ‘potentially’ available at the moment? Or put another way, would anyone not be disappointed to hear he’s who we’ve got?

i haven't changed my mind, i was told that the meeting tomorrow with rafa had been cancelled by villa and therefore it looked like mclaren had it sewn up but Pat Murphy throws doubt on the mclaren bit

An awful lot of posters are putting a lot of faith in the post of "Mystery Man".

I've gotta say (and he will probably know my old identity now on another site) - I called him for every name under the sun 6 months ago, saying he was as much ITK as DOt Cotton's pussycat , only for a week later for my hero to turn up wearing the no. 39 shirt (which will hopefully drop the 3 next month but thats another story !)

So this time, I'll give him a bit of leeway  :)

Lol-worthy in the extreme.

Do think it could be Moyes though and I'll be very happy with that.

This is exciting with little work being done, let's hope we're not let down by the eventual appointment.

BTW, never buy The Guardian or The Mirror ever.
