You have got laugh.people are hanging on every bookmaker, every tweet and every bit of crap. The only people who know what is going on is RL, PF and ????? ??????

I must confess the whole thing is stressing me out but it is strangely addictive and the bookies must be making a few bob.

Chill people and trust in Randy.

fulham appoint jol and mon realises hes missed the boat , does he ring randy and make a grovelling apology realising villa were as good as it would get for him and eat humble pie , pleading for another chance?

As long as long as Van Gaal is behind Randy, taps him on the shoulder and says "let me handle this" drops his pants, grabs his balls and says to MON " you showed you aint got a pair of these when you walked out on us, now do one".
Love it VTM! Love it!

An awful lot of posters are putting a lot of faith in the post of "Mystery Man".

Ah so turned down because of lack of money, is this like the Aston Villa have no money and then we go and spend between £18-24 million on Bent.

says the bloke who started a 20 page thread on what he was going to do if McClaren got the job

Yeah - I got annoyed as people on here , claiming to be ITK with good sources seemed to think McClown would get the job. Sky Sports didn't  - Villa fans did. And I felt if someone at the club does look at these sites the way the general says they do, then the club should know the personal feelings of the fans.

And nearly 400 replies , and only 20(ish) of those saying they were happy - and 380(ish) saying they were not happy , and of those 380 - over 100 said they were so unhappy that they would either stop going, or go, but it would not take a lot for them to turn on them....

Proves I was right to put it up.

As for Sky - I've never believed a word they say. As I said, they just scour these sites and report it as news (as do a lot of press) - you can 100% guarentee if someone on here started a thread saying "I am ITK - Villa are signing X player - and then about 5 or six people confirmed they have also heard it - it would be in the papers the next day !

Rafa turned us down because of lack of money according to Sky.

I don't think they said that.  They said the talks didn't go into "fruition" (whatever that means).  It was all quite vague.

It is all a bit drama queeny here isn't it?

Before you know it, Benitez turned us down, as have lots of people, and it was all oever lack of money.

Oh, and this is from the very same channel who, less than 12 hours ago were telling the world McLaren was nailed on.

In a nice way, after sky's reporting about Rafa and insinuating that we have no money means other clubs think we are poor again after the Bent buy.

Great move Randy. New manager should get some value.

Sky Sports know fuck all.

I can easily see Benitez signing on as our manager.

I'm also not prepared to rule out Ancelotti despite his comments on Monday.

Sky now absolutely nothing, no one does in reality, only those dealing directly with the negotiations. I'll sit back relax and watch Leicester v Lancs and whilst splitting my time on the Russia v Canada game, and watch as the journos make an arse of themselves writing in one breath that x will get it, then 30 mins later back tracking that they won't!

It's amazing how Sky manage to find out only that we had talks, but that they failed, and the reason why they failed.

Where on earth would they get info like that? Stop and think about it.

rafa has not turned us down, meeting was set for tomorrow for face to face meeting but villa have cancelled and decided to look elsewhere following preliminary discussions through rafa's representatives. Villa's choice not his.
